@ffnull
im plain resolder drivers and replace it with tmc2208 for quit printing
Luc
@luc-github
I do not have such issue - so I guess it is hardware problem, now to workaround with software you can try backslash
Yes MarlinKimbra is usualy more fancy and more stable than Marlin, long time I did not play with it
ffnull
@ffnull
Do you think your firmware and kimbra use the full potential of a 32-bit board, or do it work in 8-bit mode?
Luc
@luc-github
kimbra originaly use the work of https://github.com/Wurstnase/Marlin4Due and I did basic porting long time ago for davinci : https://github.com/luc-github/Marlin4Due
Kimbra work in 32bits mode for Due
now have a lot of 32 bits boards so it is more popular, 6 years ago only DUE and another one
ffnull
@ffnull
your firmware are 32 bit or 8 bit?
Luc
@luc-github
32
it is for Due
but my porting is super basic - not sure can be used for printing - it was a POC to let people choose but no one seems interrested as they were happy with repetier - so I dropped
as I do not need to use 2 FW on one printer
why spend time on something when it is already working ? So I did not continue porting
ffnull
@ffnull
but right i think mk4duo will be better
so we can togeter make port and test it
Luc
@luc-github
You can do it you have all my sources : repetier and Marlin4Due.
You do not need me I think

@ffnull
i cant uderstand how to implement standart davinci futures like nozzle cleaning and nozle calibration
Luc
@luc-github
they are just movement - initialy I just used GCODE for these and manual move - they are not really key and and not dificcult once all is done
ffnull
@ffnull
Hi there
Im found bug in your latest relise
Luc
@luc-github
I am sure have plenty
Luc
@luc-github
be sure you use git as since latest release there were several update
ffnull
@ffnull
bug with buffer when we printing via usb. if im change printing speed on host software, buffer overflow and printers stops.
Luc
@luc-github
Hmmm
that part is main fw
and must adjust host buffer according printer capability
ffnull
@ffnull
yeah. printer sends wait. if im click play|pause its unfreeze but only on one layer
Luc
@luc-github
when you say: change printing speed on host , you mean : M220 S<Feedrate multiplier in percent> - Increase/decrease given feedrate
or baudrate ?
ffnull
@ffnull
Yes M220
by the way do you plain to update to version 1.0?
Luc
@luc-github
I did https://github.com/luc-github/Repetier-Firmware-4-Davinci/tree/devt
This command is original repetier code, so should be fixed in new code, but I do see any commit about such issue
ffnull
@ffnull
oh sorry im mean 2.0. when we update to 2.0?
ffnull
@ffnull
and what do you think about swapping main board to skr 1.3 with marlin 2.0 on board. are it will be better?
Luc
@luc-github
When 2.0 is stable - now it is still in Devt even not in beta I think
I do not use Marlin so I can't comment this sorry.
I only use Marlin for Marlin_ESP32 devt and for ESP3D project but not as printer FW
ffnull
@ffnull
But if i change board to skr i will have same 32 bit with more flexible?
Luc
@luc-github
I do not know skr sorry
ffnull
@ffnull
I am stuck with a choice. I have three motherboards. Native, skr and Duet 2 wifi. What to choose? Remain on your own or change the motherboard? What do you think?
Luc
@luc-github
This is personal choice ^_^ - changing board on Davinci can be painful even with the available tutorial as you need to change a lot of things - but at the end you will get more flexible printer
board upgrade is usually documented
ffnull
@ffnull
I already done it in my davinci DUO without any issues
Luc
@luc-github
So you are all good then ^_^
