except now i have a printer heater/motor fault
the one that tells you to fix with 5999
*heater/sensor failure
false alarm it fixed itself

Hi Luc! Ive been running your .92 firmware for davinci 1, for around 4 years without issue, love it! I recently had to replace my bed, and unfortunately thermistor. I have completely forgotten all my firmware settings from when I initially flashed. It looks like Ill need to build a new table for thermistor and upload. Is there any way to dump out current firmware so I can use it as a starting point. On voltivo forum, you had helped me with a couple settings as my hotend thermistor kept reporting decoupled, and also something with layer fan. I dont want to lose those, especially since Voltivo forum is no more. I know you probably havent messed with this in awhile and probably dont want to, but could you please help a brother out on uploading a new thermistor table without losing all my current tweaks? Thank you so much!
Luc
@luc-github
all your settings are in EEPROM so use repetier host to export them , I am afraid dumping FW won't help for a new thermistor - I do not remember layer fan discussion sorry (oXvXo) - unfortunatly I am afraid there is no way than reflash to update thermistor table - or may be to do some reverse engineering on FW but parsing binary FW is not my best skill sorry ...

Luc, You dont remember our conversation from four years ago? Im hurt! ;) Thank you very much for your reply, I had completely forgotten about repetier host as I just upload prints to SD card. Ill wire this thing up and see if I can find the settings I tweaked initially. Ive been running this thing for 4 years almost non stop with your firmware, no issues ever. My bed finally clamshelled to the point where I dont have a spot on the bed without a chip on it. :(

Damned just deleted instead of edit
You can use existing FW and change Bed thermistor , bed temperature does not need to be super accurate but constant
so you just need to find the new temperature fake temperature setting that allow you to reach your previous bed temperature
heat your bed using printer menu and try to heat at 50 degres
then do bed temperature measurement with external thermistor or temperature gun
bed should be around 90 / 110 degres for ABS - so try to see which fake temperature setting allow you to reach this real value
Luc
@luc-github
Just my 2 cents - so once found you just need to change your bed temperature in slicer with the new one

@Nepenthy
Thank you very much. I replaced with a NTC 100K Sensor and the bed reports in at 74 degrees, cold. Im going to tape the old thermistor to the back of the plate, see if that will get me up and running enough to continue while i refresh my memory on flashing.

@luc-github
Good luck, I think if you are happy with existing FW , try to not flash - just change the temperature cursor ,if possible as the max allowed is 130 degres in FW if I remember well

@Nepenthy
Thanks Luc, youve always been super helpful, even to those like me that just mash things together without fully understanding what they are doing! I had completely forgotten about being able to tweak firmware settings in rep host. I may not pull this off the right way, but im pretty sure Ill be able to fake it enough to offset the new values. You are very much appreciated!

Hello luc! Im have few questions
Luc
@luc-github
shoot
ffnull
@ffnull
Im revert one of my Davinci to stock motherboard. Make just few upgrades - replace all drivers to tmc2208. its super quiet right now
how about new repetier fw?
Luc
@luc-github
I am waiting 2.0 is usable to do the porting
ffnull
@ffnull
And i whant connect jz-ts40 via uart port. this is the best lcd for printer in world. becouse file transfer is super fast. how i can change baudrate for internal uart to 250000 ?
Luc
@luc-github
you use TMC2208 as standlone ?
ffnull
@ffnull
yes. only standlone
im have stock davinci v1.0 board. im make adapters and replace drivers
Luc
@luc-github
you connect to which UART ?
ffnull
@ffnull
internal, on board. that for esp8266
Luc
@luc-github
hmm I used the same baudrate as printer
ffnull
@ffnull
hah. so just set baud 250000?
Luc
@luc-github
you need to flash enabling wifi in FW to enable this port
ffnull
@ffnull
im already enabled it
Luc
@luc-github
so you should be ok
ffnull
@ffnull
what about fw 1?
Luc
@luc-github
fw 1.04 has lot of upgrade but not really usable for davinci so not worth the time to update
ffnull
@ffnull
why?
Luc
@luc-github
I have done an update when 1.0 what released just porting FW no Davinci customization - asking does it worth to update ? does Davinci custominzation are necessary or just keep raw repetier ?
I got 0 update - so I move on
when adding new hardware most of the time the stock motherboard is not ready for that and need some hardware hack - most of people will move to board replacement then\
1.0 is really very close to 0.92 - just more boards supported and code refactoring
ffnull
@ffnull
im ready to stay on stock board. im try different boards like duet and other. stock board is great for this printer
Luc
@luc-github
some bugfixes of course but nothing critical for davinci
ffnull
@ffnull
and im think its will be great to make rtos
Luc
@luc-github
rtos ? from duet ?
ffnull
@ffnull
yes
maybe we can do some magic together? im got great soldering/electronics skills. im normal in debugging. and junior in programming( base compilling, debugging )
Luc
@luc-github
hmm 2X due is supported for RTOS - but 3.0no more support for due
I am pretty familiar with duet code , I did several porting
but for usage ... I doubt davinci user will be ready for that
what is missing from your point of view in current FW ?
