I remember we chatted about this. That's perfectly acceptable if it's a process that works for the team leads. There may be a way for me to query what the default branch is from github in my scripts.

not sure what scripts you are using, but from github its looks like that:

so once we finish with fixes it will be move to preview, and new branch will be started v1.77.4 for future works, what allow us to add fixes if any bug will be found, if after a while no bug reports and people are happy will be do release and lock such branch and repeat :)

Is it expected behavior with puTTY sessions when clicking a connection tab to not have the active and require clicking in the connection window before typing? I would expect to be able to click the tab and start typing in the window instead of having the extra step of clicking the window.

Ah. Clear. Can you push it to the folder, where mRemoteNG is installed?

where is some hudge changes i am started still need them to complete
idea about configs that mremoteng will have a profile system, you just need to update via app admin (protected by password, and ad group in feature) user config loading path (can be local or remote, db or smth else)

I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but I'm having issues with use of multiple creds with nRemoteNG. I have my primary creds stored in settings to automatically log in. I now have to access some new machines with a new set of creds, but because my other creds are stored, I simply cannot get connected to these other machines. Why doesn't nRemoteNG not work like RDP? I'd expect the first login to fail and simply just reprompt me for correct creds, but it seems nRemoteNG does not do that. The connection just fails and closes.

The only way I can get multiple creds to work is to either 1) not store creds at all, or 2) create folders and manually create connections for every server I want to connect to. I def do not want to do #2 because there are hundreds of servers on both domains I'm managing, so I do not want to create manual connections for every server.

Does anyone know which file "Options" is in?
I want to preset this setting "Tools > Options > Credentials" to "My Current credential" for multiple users using a gpo file replace.

Hi,

With 1.77.3, I use the command line switch /c: but it doesn't work

My command line : "C:\Program Files\mRemoteNG Portable.-.1.77.3.NB\Portable - 1.77.3 NB\mRemoteNG.exe" /c: "\groupe\DIT\UserDIT\H82943\My Documents\mRemonteNg"

1 reply
What's wrong with it ? mRemonteNG starts, but the conf file is not loaded
"C:\Program Files\mRemoteNG Portable.-.1.77.3.NB\Portable - 1.77.3 NB\mRemoteNG.exe" /c: "\\groupe\DIT\UserDIT\H82943\My Documents\mRemonteNg"
Sorry, the 2nd command line is the good one, with double backslash at the beginning of path
nicolaspbl
@nicolaspbl
Once application started, I can load the conf file through "File" menu. So the conf file is not corrupted and readable
altshiftzero

Shouldn’t the filename also contain an extension? Like .conf ?
And you sure you named your config file "mRemonteNg" and not "mRemoteNg"?
nicolaspbl
@nicolaspbl

Hi,

/c: switch must give the path to the file, or the complete path + file name ?

I renamed mRemonteNg with mRemoteNg and the tried : "C:\Program Files\mRemoteNG Portable.-.1.77.3.NB\Portable - 1.77.3 NB\mRemoteNG.exe" /c: "\groupe\DIT\UserDIT\H82943\My Documents\mRemoteNg\confCons.xml"
altshiftzero

I’m not sure as I don’t use it, but the docs say it needs the full file path
And that is full from root (including the c:\ for example) or relative to the current path you run it from
To be safe, I would always use the full path including the disk notation instead of a relative path
nicolaspbl
@nicolaspbl
Right, but here it's an UNC path starting with \\
altshiftzero
@altshiftzero:matrix.org
[m]
I only see one \ in the beginning of your path in the command you use
nicolaspbl
@nicolaspbl
Yes it's a typo transformation in the tchat. If you enter 2 backslash, only 1 is displayed in the tchat
Must enter 3 to get 2
altshiftzero
@altshiftzero:matrix.org
[m]
And maybe try a local path first to see if that works. It might be an issue with UNC paths.
nicolaspbl
@nicolaspbl
You're right, I'am gonna test it
altshiftzero
@altshiftzero:matrix.org
[m]
If that works, you could bind the unc path to a drive letter and then try it again
nicolaspbl
@nicolaspbl

it doesn't work with local file (c:\temp e.g.)

The only file loaded automatically is the one in the binary folder, "C:\Program Files\mRemoteNG Portable.-.1.77.3.NB\Portable - 1.77.3 NB" for my case

Has a release date for version 1.77 been released to replace 1.76 as the stable version? 1.76 currently does not have the "alternate shell" line to configure PSM connections through CyberArk.

Hi! :) ... I have a question about "post login scripts/macros" - is it possible to make your own "post-login scripts/macros" in RNG?

I'm administrating 1000s of ssh enabled devices, most are network/Cisco devices. The problem here is that most network devices use "enable-passwords" which is entered after login has been made via ssh/telnet or console. It can be done with expect or bash scripts in linux, but I want to use RemoteNG for all my admin-connection duties. Is this possible to do with "external tool after" somehow?

Is it possible to export External Tools, when exporting connections to a file, to then re-import on another system? Alternatively, are there any plans to add external tools information for use with SQL Server connection?
Dimitrij
@Kvarkas
at the moment its come as it is but have some plans to add some bits to such once implement connection profiles as some asking to be able to drive this via gpo so perhaps will be a profile section for external tools and scripts.
