And maybe try a local path first to see if that works. It might be an issue with UNC paths.

If that works, you could bind the unc path to a drive letter and then try it again

it doesn't work with local file (c:\temp e.g.)

The only file loaded automatically is the one in the binary folder, "C:\Program Files\mRemoteNG Portable.-.1.77.3.NB\Portable - 1.77.3 NB" for my case

Has a release date for version 1.77 been released to replace 1.76 as the stable version? 1.76 currently does not have the "alternate shell" line to configure PSM connections through CyberArk.

Hi! :) ... I have a question about "post login scripts/macros" - is it possible to make your own "post-login scripts/macros" in RNG?

I'm administrating 1000s of ssh enabled devices, most are network/Cisco devices. The problem here is that most network devices use "enable-passwords" which is entered after login has been made via ssh/telnet or console. It can be done with expect or bash scripts in linux, but I want to use RemoteNG for all my admin-connection duties. Is this possible to do with "external tool after" somehow?

Is it possible to export External Tools, when exporting connections to a file, to then re-import on another system? Alternatively, are there any plans to add external tools information for use with SQL Server connection?

at the moment its come as it is but have some plans to add some bits to such once implement connection profiles as some asking to be able to drive this via gpo so perhaps will be a profile section for external tools and scripts.

Hi, I am using the NB 1.77.3 Portable version and it does not allow me to change themes, modify options and hide recommendations box at startup.

Thanks for you donation! We will use it to ask some freelancers to help with bits I am stuck.

regarding themes its a mess at the moment, in next steps its a plan to switch to wpf instead of windows forms so all theming will be redone (to let select dark mode for example)

Definitely not abandon, and have a lot of plans to improve and make it better, but due only one who code its move a bit slover than expected, how ever with donated money may find some help to make a progress so big thanks for all who donate, you money will be spend on project needs not on my own prosperity :D

I have learned that I needed mRemoteNg in my life, and now I have it. Is it possible to have more than one user have a SQL instance in there? I would love to be able to share my connection tree as default than then a second user could copy and amend with his credentials for each remote connection instance. At the moment that would each of us to have a db of our own if we wished to retain credentials to connections, that correct?

idea is that you may store locally, or remotely and that allow you to use it read only - or with write access

its will be 2 default user roles - adminUser and powerUser

and admin user will be able to modify any settings but power user only use it

so if you set password as adminuser you may create a connection profile and then share it in local share or sharepoint

another user who import it will nest all yours permissions

but only in scope of that connection, if he have his own connection set - its will be not impacted, and yes if settings allow he can move connection points bitween connections profiles (copy - paste - edit - delete)

at same time each connection point will have its own profile what can be configured independently

so lets say you have server1 but 3 users so you may set that in profile so user dont even need to know what user actualy he need to use - it willbe defined in profile, and its could be more than one - so you may name them as Fin user, HR user, My user etc

so briefly that's on my near implementation plan

Here is the Situation:

I have about 100 VPN configs to different Clients,
I have already set all RDP connections up, but i can't figure out how to start VPN config before RDP Session.
i'm using Zywall IPsec VPN client with TGB extension.

Hi everyone, I'm a beginner mRemoteNG user, I use mRemoteNG to link RDP always getting wrong message, protocol event disconnected. Host: "ip"; Protocol: "RDP" Message: "Remote Desktop could not connect to the remote computer for one of the following reasons:

1) Remote access to the server is not enabled
2) The remote computer is turned off
3) The remote computer is not available on the network

Make sure the remote computer is turned on and connected to the network, and that remote access is enabled. "
I set it up according to the tutorials on the internet and checked my computer, but the problem in the end is always the same, I don't understand where I went wrong, so I searched online for help and found the chat room, hope you can help me

hello, you need allow remote computer to be able accept incoming connections, if its windows you need be sure enable such like
