the packaging job now waits for the run_tests to finish before deploying to packagecloud: https://travis-ci.org/kinsamanka/machinekit/builds/94347191
current issue is this failure:
Failed:
    /usr/src/machinekit/tests/interp/subroutine-return

any chance whe can see tests/interp/subroutine-return/stderr? I tried locally on master and that passes

could be #0384ef
a brute force solution would be to make runtests.sh cat stderr on failure, but that is very clunky and can be huge output

I think this has something to do with the system migration of Travis-CI
BTW, my packagecloud account is disabled because I've used up the 250 MB allotment :grinning:

this looks like a very well tuned servo loop to me;) http://www.popularmechanics.com/military/weapons/a18362/tank-carry-beer/

I'd give bonus points if they were able to shoot off the crown cork first :)

#813 has different runtest failures: interp/subroutine-return for travis and mux on the buildbot

@kinsamanka @zultron is the runtest thing something the poster of #813 needs help with? Maybe reach out to him a bit? For the social thing?

@luminize I don't know how to fix that. @bobvanderlinden?

No need to fix now with steam and ad hoc stuff. Just let the guy feel welcome and tell we'll look too, get communication going and maybe the guy nows his way around.
Gotta go sleep, cu guys tomorrow.

@zultron , can we set the maintainer on the changelog to the guy who accepted the PR?
John Morris

@kinsamanka We could, but I think of the package maintainer as the package 'vendor'.
@kinsamanka, can you fix a couple of things in your Docker containers? See zultron/machinekit@da158e9
  • Need the git package to grab the merge commit timestamp
  • Need LC_ALL=POSIX (or something) to silence a lot of missing locale warnings

Ok, will do.

Really, the package maintainer is the person in the Debian project who maintains the package. We don't have anyone like that for Machinekit (except for you and me ;) ), so the person who distributes the packages seems the next best choice, since he's probably the best point of contact for packaging issues.
