Hey Truffle, I'm working with the experimental ABIEncoderV2, and I want to check a struct that is returned from a function. Also,I want to send a struct as an input to a transaction, is this possible in Javascript tests?
Sergey Ukustov
@ukstv
Hey, @kds0718 could you please elaborate more on the question? I couldn’t quite understand it.
Karen
@thekscar
Sure, with pragma experimental ABIEncoderV2, I can return structs from functions in Solidity. So, I have some functions that do return structs. I also am using a library in which a function receives a struct -- normally from other functions within the contracts, but was curious if there was a way to send a struct as part of a transaction from the Javascript files to test that function individually.
I think unfortunately the web3 part of Truffle does not support this, but figured I'd ask if there were possibly any work arounds
Oh wait, wrong channel, my mistake...!

Hey guys. I'm trying out machinomy locally (with ganache). Got this error when I tried to run the client example code
this.channelsDao.firstById is not a function
Seems like the channel was created just fine

Hi guys, I'm looking into setting up a local Machinomy test using Ganache and a bunch of fake users.
How can I run a local Machinomy gateway to point to when the Payment method is called ?
Sergey Ukustov
@ukstv
Hmm, maybe it’s a good idea to share a test hub with you. Would that be a more suitable for your case?
Hernán Di Pietro
@hernandp
That would be nice, as I understand that without a local gateway no one will listen to the Ganache-deployed contract events such as OpenChannel.
Hernán Di Pietro
@hernandp
@ukstv Let me know if local testing is possible.
Also, I tried to build in Windows but I couldn't -- not due to machinomy but Sqlite3 build errors. Will try to see that later.

Does anyone have an example of working code for claiming a channel using the latest version (1.12.5 machinomy and 4.1.1 contracts)?
David Leung
@dhl
@ARyaskov Woohoo! Thanks for the update :)

@ARyaskov checked! Thanks for help.

Does anyone have an example of working code for claiming a channel using the latest version (1.12.5 machinomy and 4.1.1 contracts)?

Weird bug (240)..., thanks for information! (for gitter community - machinomy/machinomy#240 , fixed by karzak)

Hernán Di Pietro
@hernandp
I made it to work under Ganache-cli :)
Hernán Di Pietro
@hernandp
How Machinomy can work with a Gateway different from machinomy' sample one?
Hernán Di Pietro
@hernandp
e.g: over ganache or Kovan ?
Kevin Davis
@karzak
@hernandp How did you get the contracts the deploy to Ganache? When I run truffle migrate nothing happens. Is this because the migration files are written in typescript?
Hernán Di Pietro
@hernandp
You are right, @karzak , doing truffle migrate with yarn did not work. I simply deployed them with "truffle migrate --reset"
Kevin Davis
@karzak
Thanks. I had to transpile to javascript and then truffle migrate --reset
Hernán Di Pietro
@hernandp

I could finally use machinomy in Windows.
Secret was that Sqlite3 dependency does not install with Node 10.X.
Use Node LTS (8.x) and all it's fine.
Andrei Riaskov
@ARyaskov

Use Node LTS (8.x) and all it's fine.

That’s great! I’ll add it to README.md!

Hernán Di Pietro
@hernandp
@ARyaskov I noted this on Windows only. MacOS / Linux seem fine.
Thx por the support.

@hernandp
I don't know why my freshnew machinomy folder broke under Windows. I'll report the issue ;)

@pkafei
Thanks for creating machinomy. Is machinomy only limited to two parties? Can you use machinomy in a network that has three parties or more?
Sergey Ukustov
@ukstv
@pkafei We are in process of expanding the approach to multiple parties. Like, code wise in progress.
Kevin Davis
@karzak
@ukstv @ARyaskov Have either of you tested the mainnet contract recently? The code I'm working on runs on Kovan/Ropsten but fails on mainnet with the typically ambiguous error:
gas required exceeds allowance or always failing transaction
the is Unidirectional specifically
eyals
@aykesubir
Hey! does anyone have experience with using the Unidirectional Contract via web3j and not web3js? I'm having some ecrecover problems
