Very interested to see what happens with Github next...
https://blog.github.com/2018-06-04-github-microsoft/

Gitlab may become more appealing after the year ends

Luke Swart
@modulitos
Yeah, I've got my eye on Gitlab too, but let's wait until the dust settles. Their free Gold/Ultimate tiers look interesting: https://about.gitlab.com/2018/06/05/gitlab-ultimate-and-gold-free-for-education-and-open-source/
Kinda random, but here is a fellowship that we might consider applying for: https://www.echoinggreen.org/fellowship

What do you all think of the new React Native AR SDK from Mapbox? Could be fun to experiment with
https://blog.mapbox.com/introducing-native-ar-b3c55a50539d
Trevor Croxson
@goldpbear
it seems cool, although still pretty early in its development. The github page links to this getting started guide: https://docs.viromedia.com/docs/quick-start

but that landing page tho! :)

@goldpbear
yeah the shadow effect on the building is pretty impressive

What do you all think of Apple's new announcement of Mapkit JS?
https://developer.apple.com/maps/mapkitjs/
futuresoup
@futuresoup
basically looks only relevant if there's a need to use the proprietary Apple Maps data. Not sure what they have that OSM doesn't

Anyone planning to go to Open Seattle tomorrow?
Luke Swart
@modulitos
I would like to go - it sounds like they'll have an interesting talk. Not sure that I'll have time though
Trevor Croxson
@goldpbear
I'm going to try and make it-- I can catch you up on the talk afterward

@Brian393
Hi, it's Brian Holmes, thanks for getting back to me.

@Brian393
As I said I have several hopes for Mapseed, plus one experimental build of the Willamette flavor that I don't know how to get online (I'm OK with QGIS and OpenLayers but no programmer).

Heya @Brian393 - I'll let @goldpbear or @modulitos give you more details since they are the devops gurus. What I can tell you is this:
We use a combination of S3 / Cloudfront / Route 53 to put our flavors on a sub-domain.

Right now we're discussing the best way to help you out. You can either try to go through the steps with us to set it up, or we could just do the hosting for you

Brian393
@Brian393
Well, which ever is easiest. I admit that S3 / Cloudfront / Route 53 are geek to me! Ah, Greek I mean.
However I love to learn stuff.

Hola Lucas. Como comenzamos a trabajar con mapseed? Nosotros podemos cargar la informacion pero necesitamos tu ayuda para saber como cargar el mapa por primera vez
jalMogo
@jalMogo
