    Better github integration for sure and I like gh flavored markdown. We could also use this as a public chat room since anyone can join. Every chapter could also use their repo as chat room as well.

    @almccon haha, posted seconds ago to the mappingdc channel asking the same question: what does gitter offer that slack does not? I'm agnostic as to channel, but want to minimize the number of channels.
