    Daniel Siminiuk
    @dsiminiuk
    @marcelklehr I had 4.1.0 and still do on two other PCs I have yet to upgraded.
    Marcel Klehr
    @marcelklehr
    @dsiminiuk and v4.2.1 is faster for you? :eyes:
    ah, that might be marcelklehr/floccus@454b806 :tada: -- and you might have upgraded your bookmarks app
    Daniel Siminiuk
    @dsiminiuk
    @marcelklehr 56 seconds to sync on 4.1.0,
    6 seconds on 4.2.1 YES SIX!
    I updated NC Bookmarks to the latest yesterday.
    Marcel Klehr

    Finally a solution that reliably replaces Xmarks. You rock! I sent a donation on the 5th. I hope others find this as useful.

    @marcelklehr
    @dsiminiuk Thank you for your donation and your kind words! :blue_heart:

    Hi! I may look stupid, but I have a pretty basic question ahah... Can I create subfolders in the Floccus folder? I just want to make sure before doing so as I'm a bit afraid to mess everything up.
    Marcel Klehr
    @marcelklehr
    @snadeau89 hey! :)
    @snadeau89 yes, you can. it wasn't always possible so not a stupid question at all. But nowadays you can :) You can even change the synced folder in the settings i.e. to sync your root folder or something else
    Marcel Klehr
    @marcelklehr
    @snadeau89 I definitely recommend regular backups, when syncing anything
    Stephanie Nadeau
    @snadeau89
    Hi @marcelklehr ! Thanks a lot for your answer!
    About the backups, can I simply add those folders in the tasks of my regular backup program?
    Marcel Klehr
    @marcelklehr
    which folders do you mean?
    I recommend a regular curl job to the export enndpoint: https://nextcloud-bookmarks.readthedocs.io/en/latest/bookmark.html#export-all-bookmarks
    Stephanie Nadeau
    @snadeau89
    I mean the created Floccus folder.
    I don't run it on Nextcloud, but on Windows.
    Marcel Klehr
    @marcelklehr
    you mean, you're using the XBEL/WebDAV sync method to sync to a local file? Then backing up that ffile is enough, yeah :)
    Stephanie Nadeau
    @snadeau89
    Yes, that's exactly what I meant ahah :) Great! Thanks a lot for your answers and for having created that tool! You definitely rock!
    Marcel Klehr
    @marcelklehr
    you're welcome :) thanks for you kind words!

    @hnspn
    Hi
    I want to import my existing chrome bookmarks
    It wants a json not an HTML
    Abderahmane Bouziane
    @hnspn
    nevermind I didn't understand the project
    Marcel Klehr
    @marcelklehr
    @hnspn out of curiosity, what did you think vs. what do you think the project does now?
    Abderahmane Bouziane
    @hnspn
    I didn't think it would use the builtin browser extension API.
    I thought It would have it's own db for bookmarks and that you would need to open the popup to add a new bookmark instead of using the native bookmarks API.
    Because of this misunderstanding I wanted to import my chrome bookmarks into the floccus DB.
    Which is not necessary since they will be synced
    Still having some issues syncing with my nextcloud instance though I'll probably be back here for help once I figure out what the problem is
    Marcel Klehr
    @marcelklehr
    okies, thanks for the feedback. I'll try to make this more clear in the UI :)
