@markgandolfo
tests are problematic though. I'm asking for help on irc.. I'm out of suggestions!
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
ok tests fixed... but failing for other reasons
dinner guests are here. I'm out for tonight
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
ok fixed failing tests... we're green again
Brenton Bills
@fud
Excellent - I didn't do anything over the weekend so I'll check it out
Brenton Bills
@fud
Ooh yeah I've added json support and just added Travis CI to gittr
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
nice!
if you get a chance, update the readme, and merge!
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
just had a look at the json parser, much nicer
and I think it's safe to remove the yaml branch, waddaya think?
Brenton Bills
@fud
Oh yeah the README!
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
something nice about seeing all green
Brenton Bills
@fud
Do you git merge master or git rebase master into your branch mark?
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
which branch?
sorry missed this message and didn't get an email??
I haven't updated a branch, but I used the merge branch feature in github to merge your original yaml branch
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
btw, I've added github integration here. Hopefully we see events soon
Brenton Bills
@fud
I fixed up the README.md and created a pull request
I've not caught everything but its a start. I've got a bit of a cold, so thats enough for tonight.
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
np
I think you're fine to just merge without pull requests
I nearly have the fileIO test working
rest up, and get better soon
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
Tonight I've managed to get the file tests working and added the flag for --config.
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
I've had a play around with http. I think we'll need to put our heads together on how we achieve the routing. Lets chat when our schedules align
Brenton Bills
@fud
Sounds like you got a bit done. Great.
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
I think I need to rest up a bit.. been burning the candle at both ends lately
I've had to have a couple of days off, I'm getting a little sick
Brenton Bills
@fud
Yeah no worries mark. You've got a lot of project on.
I was working on the SQS settings last night
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
accidently the git commit
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
after reading for a couple of days I believe https://github.com/julienschmidt/httprouter is a good router that'll suit our purpose
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
I've just pushed up the http branch. It listens to any GET request, and responds with the JSON version of the params
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
It's pretty hacky at the moment, but it'll be fine as a starting point
Mark Gandolfo
@markgandolfo
I've been struggling with how to pass in context into the httpHandlers. It works out it's as easy as creating structs.... It seems like this is a go-ism, which is quite interesting and a little different then other languages
have a read when you get a chance. learnt a lot
Brenton Bills
@fud
ok I'll have a look now.
I didn't really do anything on the weekend related to this.
Brenton Bills
@fud
played around with some fileparsing
Enough for tonight!

@ma66ot
Hey guys! I got a question about SQS and it sending messages to an elastic beanstalk worker
We got an laravel app on EB and a SQS queue sending messages to it... But It just now looks like sqs does receive messages but also sends them to the app immediately
can those messages be sent in a FIFO manner with timeouts/delays between each message ?
Brenton Bills
@fud
If you want fifo sqs has fifo queues in some regions
If you want a delay do it in your worker
The thing that picks up the job.
Not clear why you'd want that ?
