    hmm... it finished but it did not build marscoin-qt.exe
    where does it typically put that? in /src ?
    Lennart Lopin
    @novalis78_twitter
    yes in /src/qt
    spacecrypto
    @spacecrypto
    i found the problem
    Lennart Lopin
    @novalis78_twitter
    Ubuntu 18:
    /home/marscoin# ./autogen.sh
    aclocal: warning: couldn't open directory 'build-aux/m4': No such file or directory
    libtoolize: putting auxiliary files in AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR, 'build-aux'.
    <- looks like the mac problem I had earlier is due to the lib tool having issues, not autoconf itself

    @spacecrypto
    ah

    …a clue. was just trying to build the node on a Ubuntu 18 instance

    @spacecrypto
    my problem is it's not finding the qt plugins
    Lennart Lopin
    @novalis78_twitter
    on mac or windows?
    spacecrypto
    @spacecrypto
    windows
    i am not working on mac yet. i've been trying to get the new build that includes QT client built on windows all day (& last night)
    i found a mingw guide so I might switch to using that . right now its Ubuntu 16 on WSL
    Lennart Lopin
    @novalis78_twitter
    ok
    so it sounds like it gets super close to finishing using Ubuntu 16/WSL and then fails?
    spacecrypto
    @spacecrypto
    yes
    QT plugin not found
    everything else works and it compiled the node & CLI just fine.
    I started on MinGW and will work that more over the weekend or Monday.

    Made some tweaks to the build_unix readme. Compiling under Ubuntu 18 works like a charm. Preparing a guide for Ubuntu 20 and Marscoin v. 1.5

    https://github.com/mmick66/jswallet are there any electronjs wallets that provide good support across operating systems?
    daedalus wallet comes to mind too

    @AyzeGamingFR great job on UNOMP/unified-node-open-mining-portal#309
    Build instructions for Ubuntu 20 are out ... took a bit of tinkering...(and downgrading). Marscoin 1.6 release should definitely address the dependency situation.
    Still, great to see that it works on the latest

    Hi, I'd like to advise you to improve wallet security, perhaps by adding two-factor authentication or perhaps a backup phrase.
    Furthermore, on the homepage of https://wallet.marscoin.org by clicking on login you are redirected to https://wallet.marscoin.org/wallet/signup.

    Welcome @fraaaancoisdev. Yes, it's the latest feature being actively worked on. ETA was early this week but it's probably going to take another. Thanks for the find regarding the link!

    Of nothing, I believe in you and I would like to help you in my small way. However, is it possible to change the password from the site? Maybe it could be a new feature to add.

    I've noticed that the Marscoin explorer does not have an SSL certificate, my browser keeps throwing up "not secure" messages, could you please fix it? Thanks!

    I noticed that there is an error with the links ,if you click on the logo at the top it takes you to http://wallet.marscoin.org/wallet/dashboard and since it is http it is not safe, while if you go you click on the dashboard from the navigation bar takes you back to the correct link https://wallet.marscoin.org/wallet/dashboard. Same thing on the login page you should change the link to https. I think my reasoning is right, still I am a student on the subject do not insult me :)

    @novalis78
    @thiwup yes, its annoying. It's running a version of the Litesight nodejs blockexplorer, adjusted for Marscoin. However, the original version needs an update. I do have an explorer droplet that I can snapshot and hand over to someone else who has a background with nodejs. Would be great to get it updated to the latest Litesight and add ssl. We can then upgrade the other explorer instances from the new version.

    Hi, Nik evan would you recommend me, who can provide me with information as a collaborator, for the use of mars coin?

    I am setting up our Roadmap as a Github project board, and pulling individual Issues in as cards. I noticed there are two outstanding issues and I was wondering if they are still the case:
    This is related to the Oct 2020 attack where the blockchain was stuck. I'm assuming things are fine now and we can close it.
    This one seems like a question. I think the answer to this question is just "addnode N.N.N.N add" from the debug console, correct? Did anybody ever get back to this person?
