    Hello,
    I have an Infineon reference SLU52GDL448 card. the vendor says that it has the default test key 404142...4F, but I can not install a javacard applet because of the error card cryptogram is invalid. I can not reach out the vendor, so I am wondering if someone knows the default keys for this type of cards. thanks

    what do i do ?

    @johnnytshi
    when I run "gp.exe -l", I get "Failed to communicate with card in apdu4j.LoggingCardTerminal@56cbfb61: SCardTransmit got response 0x8010002f (SCARD_E_COMM_DATA_LOST: A communications error with the smart card has been detected.)"
    has anyone seen that? I can still issue SELECT cmd
    more details here: martinpaljak/GlobalPlatformPro#123
    thanks!
    promovicz
    @promovicz
    @johnnytshi that error is not very specific. it comes from PC/SC, not from the gp.jar tool.
    this tends to happen when low-level errors occur, such as card being pulled. sometimes it helps to re-seat the card (bad contact).

    Hello. When I run "java -jar gp.jar -info" I get the error "Error: Unable to access jarfile gp.jar" .
    Can anyone provide any thoughts?

    Hello everyone, I'm getting error when trying to install applet on SmartMx3 java card: INSTALL [for install and make selectable] failed 0x6F00. Any ideas whats wrong?
    promovicz
    @promovicz
    I have recently created a repository with export files for GlobalPlatform APIs: https://github.com/OpenJavaCard/globalplatform-exports
    This is intended to be used as a submodule in applet projects. Contributions and suggestions are of course welcome.
    The README also contains a magic "decoder ring" table that indicates the correct API versions for various standards.

    @banshee

    Any suggestions for what to do for this error?

    java -jar tool/target/gp.jar -info
    Error: SCardConnect got response 0x80100067 (SCARD_W_UNPOWERED_CARD: Power has been removed from the smart card, so that further communication is not possible.)

    I does look like it's talking to the reader at first (lots of blue flashing lights)

    promovicz
    @promovicz
    @banshee in my experience this means either that your card has crashed or communications are unreliable (bad contacts, NFC interference)
    essentially its saying "card should be powered but it isn't talking".
    in most cases this should be fixed by re-plugging the card.
    can't say what the exact cause is though. that depends on the exact circumstances.
    promovicz
    @promovicz
    if the problem persists then i'd try another reader if possible.
    some readers are just bad and produce glitches like these.
    to find the real exact cause one would have to dig a bit deeper.
    it is possible to launch pcscd in debug mode instead of running it as a system service. that can allow some more detailed debugging of issues like these.

    @banshee
    thanks
    I think we have more readers in another office, that seems like the first thing to try (aside from just trying a couple more cards and replugging etc)
    Anyone have particular recommendations for hardware readers, if we want to order more?
    James Moore
    @banshee
    (did try multiple sims, plugging, unplugging, make sure reader is plugged straight into the motherboard -isn't going through a usb hub)
    promovicz
    @promovicz
    @banshee i am using a lot of ACS. some older Gemalto PIN-pad readers. and thinpad built-in readers from several vendors.
    all of them work fine for the most part. the thinkpad readers did give me some "unpowered card" errors with specific cards at times.
    but rarely enough not to worry me.
    my main recommendation is to stick to CCID-compatible readers and avoid anything with a proprietary library.
    reiner SCT still has some proprietary readers.

    Interesting to see life here! I don't visit this place often and will remove the link from README in near future.

    @martinpaljak I'm not married to this chat. i use it (here and /OpenJavaCard) for things that seem worth shouting out about but are not big enough for twitter.
    it would be nice to have an open smartcard development channel somewhere though.
    with OpenJavaCard I am considering moving to good old freenode for chats.
    and since our projects are pretty complementary to each other I'd be happy to share channels to keep people together.
    or maybe cross-link the chats or something.

    @promovicz
    the web chat has the slight advantage of not requiring as much attention since it has better notification.

    @njdiazsoler not really. it could be though. when people ask tech questions they do get answers around here sometimes.

    Hi, I'm trying to develop a SIM Toolkit Applet using Javacard SDK and trying to load and install it on a sysmoUSIM-SJS1 card. If I just use javacard libs, it works, but when I try to use sim.toolkit and sim.access libs it gives me an error during install(install and make selectable) phase saying to me that the data are wrong. I think it's due to the library I'am using ( I downloaded them from the 3GPP archives). Can someone help me?
    promovicz
    @promovicz
    @Bartolosh are you using the correct version of the 3GPP export files?
    @Bartolosh you can find my collection here: https://github.com/openjavacard/etsi-exports
    I'm not sure what the exact version on the sysmoUSIM or sysmoISIM is, but I would like to know.
