So we just got spammed to Jenkinsci/Jenkins room. I've not really used the gitter UI, but is there any way to delete spam?.maybe an org admin via gitter UI?

Hi, I have some rooms that I would like to bridge to discord using t2bot.io, but I'm not able to since I'm not an admin on the corresponding matrix room. Is there a way to become the admin of a matrix room where you own the gitter room? or another way to bridge using t2?

Did something change with gitter threading? They used to show up as replies in matrix now they just show up as standalone messages.

can gitter people join matrix rooms?
i don't think we can add irc bridge to a gitter room, and if gitter people can't join a matrix room...then not sure whats the most friendly way for a room to exist

halkeye Yes, the native Gitter bridge. gitter.im/jenkinsci/jenkins-infra <-> your own matrix room

If I may ask: at the moment we can not yet use privat multi-user rooms on gitter from matrix, right? It is still 1:1 rooms only. I get a bit confused with gitterHQ/webapp#2785 which seems to address multi user rooms but is then discussing 1:1 chats. Its nothing too pressing, but we have a pretty strong usage of private multiuser chats on gitter with quite a few users who are not techies, IOW I'd like/have to to prepare a potential transition.

Thanks for the response. It would be a really useful thing to be able to use mjolnir etc to do that kind of bridged moderation.

Just a quick question: we have a bridged room still residing on gitter.im (#librewolf-community_librewolf-build:gitter.im) and wondered if it was possible to give some of the matrix users admin privileges for it, so we could then properly administrate/moderate it, should the need arise (our other rooms are increasingly targeted by spammers atm, so currently we couldn't do very much should that room also become such a target)? From what I've gathered, having admin privileges on the gitter end of things doesn't seem to help much; it seems like there's no way to influence anything on the "matrix end of things" (like banning a matrix user, for example, or elevating someone's privileges).
