    @richsilv
    thanks vm - clearly a lack of email is my problem then. checked the spam folder, but no dice.
    Neil
    @ineil
    You need to have a Meteor Developer Account on the email address that you use to order the book
    If you ordered the book using a different email address to the one you registered to your meteor developer account you can reclaim you book by getting another meteor developer account on the email address that you gave discover meteor. I made this mistake when I bought the original paid for edition.

    @richsilv
    interesting, thanks vm
    i will report back

    Any trainings scheduled in the future? And is it possible to join over a connection?
    So, from abroad? If not... i've got a good reason to visit london again..
    Oli Evans
    @olizilla
    none scheduled, but we're going to upgrade the http://www.meteorlondon.com/ to allow people to tell us when would be most convenient to schedule the next one
    we had a lot of feedback from folks who'd like to do the course but would prefer a weekend
    for example
    but in principle we'll be running another course soon
    and will announce to the email list and on here
    Maikel
    @maikel-exitable

    Hello guys, I am new here and I would like to ask you some questions about London. How is it going the Meteor Community in London? I am thinking about maybe moving there but I would like to know how the meteor community is there. Are there jobs on the field and cool meteor projects?
    Richard Silverton
    @richsilv
    hi @carlosbaraza
    the best way to find out about the Meteor community in London is at the monthly meetup: http://www.meetup.com/Meteor-London/
    We're WAY oversubscribed for Thursday, but we could squeeze you in if you're a Meteor dev (even just for side projects) and you're prepared to talk for five minutes about something you've been making?
    It would be a great way to meet some Meteor people...
    Carlos Baraza
    @carlosbaraza

    Hi @richsilv, I am sorry for the misunderstanding, I am not actually in London yet. But, however, thank you very much for the information. I will definitely attend to those meetups if I finally move to London.

    Do you know how are the companies feeling about meteor in London? Are they opening positions for meteor developers?

    I am currently planning to move to a nice place where I could find motivated developers and companies offering jobs on new technologies like Meteor. London feels like a really nice place for this because there are lots of Start-ups.
    Richard Silverton
    @richsilv
    All I can tell you is that the meetup group is getting bigger and bigger at a very fast rate, so there are clearly a lot of people here interested in Meteor, and the number is growing quickly. A can't advise specifically on opening positions, but we have certainly heard from some London-based startups at the Meetup that are using Meteor in production.
    And London is a nice place, and there is always a lot going on!
    Carlos Baraza
    @carlosbaraza

    Thank you for the answer. I will definitely consider London as one of the best options. Also I was considering Cambridge or Amsterdam as possible interesting cities. Currently I live in Luxembourg. It is great here but the open source community is kind of reduced, being the coorporative/enterprise frameworks mostly used.

    I would like to get a living using and collaborating with open source frameworks. I am kind of bored with the poor code quality found in private projects.

    Chris Waring
    @cwaring
    @carlosbaraza London is a great place for technology, its only major drawback is cost but like all key cities it is worth the investment if you intend to throw yourself in.
    In Europe I would say Berlin has the best balance (cost/technology/lifestyle) right now but I'm in NYC at the moment and amazed by the variety and adoption here too... but that's another story :)
    Chris Waring
    @cwaring
    @all in vain of keeping the Meteor training wheels rolling I'm throwing a workshop party in New York this Sat... if you know anyone that might interested or companies I should reach out to I'd really appreciate the help get the word out. https://meteorkit.com
    Jonathan Baillie Strong
    @jonbstrong
    are there any meteor training or meteor for noobs classes/bootcamps in London?
    Oli Evans
    @olizilla
    @jonbstrong we'll be running a meteor course in June, we'll send you more info when we've confirmed the date.
    Jonathan Baillie Strong
    @jonbstrong
    Ah awesome thanks!

    Hi, I've started a company last December in Gloucester. Have a web and mobile product (almost production ready) built 100% with Meteor. Sometimes I find myself into difficult problems and the Meteor community is not always fast to answer. Do you think the London Meteor Meetup would be the place to discuss these kind of issues? Do you have professional services to address these kind of (spot) demand? Thanks :)
    Bernard Mordan
    @bmordan
    Hi joaopiopedreira the london meteor meetup is very popular and there is a core of devs who know meteor well. Come along to our next meetup. There is a waiting list, but if you come and give a talk about your experiences you can jump the list! @bmordan
    João Pio Pedreira
    @joaopiopedreira
    Hi @bmordan, thank you for your quick reply. I've never attended a
    Meteor Meetup and it would probably be a good idea to first attend one and then give a talk. A waiting list means that you don't have room for more people to attend?
