@DominikGuzei , we could actually translate the Edument example into a Space implementation, complete with a UI to simulate the process

yeah that's what i suggested :-) it would be straight forward and could even be fun
i thought about showing a "real menu" where you can order stuff etc.
and to show off event-sourcing we could show a list of events while you're interacting / waiting
the cook/s could even be external worker processes that take on the jobs
or we keep it simple on one server but show some fun animated gif or something of a cook making meals :-D

*side by side. It would also be the first example In JS I've seen haha
See how the languages allow for best syntax, style, and APIs

TodoMVC is now also available in JS: https://github.com/meteor-space/ui/tree/master/examples ;-)
ah ok you mean compare C# with JS

Yep
The 'cooking' could just be done using a Timeout
Dominik Guzei
@DominikGuzei
Sep 10 2015 21:18
yeah, a bit randomized so it doesn't get too boring :-D
depending on how much you ordered

Variable duration
Dominik Guzei
@DominikGuzei
Sep 10 2015 21:19
maybe there is a certain time it takes for each meal on the menu
Rhys Bartels-Waller

Actually a work queue is best as that's what we are simulating anyway. Then we can allow more cooks to be cooking
Dominik Guzei
@DominikGuzei
Sep 10 2015 21:20
yep
i really like the idea – and it works because the CQRS tutorial content is creative commons
so let's be creative :-D

Maybe we could do this for the Meteor Global Hackathon? http://info.meteor.com/2015-hackathon

yeah, that would be nice!

In addition to the demo UI showing the processes, an MVP UI that would be used by wait staff and maybe cooks?
Dominik Guzei
@DominikGuzei
Sep 10 2015 22:58
we could make it a collaborative game
Rhys Bartels-Waller
@rhyslbw
Sep 10 2015 22:58
I'm thinking a real world product...
Dominik Guzei
@DominikGuzei
Sep 10 2015 22:58
you can choose what you want to be 1. guest, 2. waiter, 3. cook :-D
yeah that's also possible
we could just use routes for each screen to keep it simple

Maybe separate apps, and then we focus on one for the Hackathon
The demo app is for education of cqrs /es

ok cool, maybe we can start with some simple mockups tomorrow to brainstorm ideas
and we could ask @timfam and one other person to join us :-)
