I would like to incorporate Konva library to the Meteor's client, unfortunately no luck, any suggestions how that can be done?

Hi everyone, i am facing a issue with this.userId. why sometimes this.userId is returning null on server side publications?

@lc3t35 OK!!! Looks like the import process was successful. Now I am trying to display just a shape on the canvas, but getting this error: "Uncaught Can not find container in document with id container" - and that is although I added <div id="container"></div> to the main.html's body.

@lc3t35 OK, so I guess the answer is to use Meteor.startup to initialize Konva after the DOM is created (that's what I found out).

is it possible to use the mocha npm package as a driver for meteor test, or am i required to use an atmos package?

also why does full app test not show a correct web reporter when loading my app? it renders 0 pass/fail (even though there are tests defined) and then it looks like some things are obscured by my app. however, the meteor docs say "When we connect to the test instance in a browser, we want to render a testing UI rather than our app UI, so the mocha-web-reporter package will hide any UI of our application and overlay it with its own. However the app continues to behave as normal, so we are able to route around and check the correct data is loaded."

Need a small help on javascript

The below code works fine in chrome. However it list all the languages but not tamil. I have installed tamil language voice but it doesn't appear in the list

Also, downloaded the project https://github.com/vijethph/texttospeech-synth as zip and opened the index.html. It displays many languages but not tamil

why would a meteor method return a 1d array but not a 2d array?

Maybe you need to JSON.stringify it

I guess they just do toString() which wouldn’t work on 2d arrays

hey guys, i need some help over here. I'm trying to deploy my meteor app on localhost for debug purpose, but when i run mup setup it only setup docker and nothing else. (btw i'm on a windows 10 machine and using wsl) does anyone else face this issue?

I'm pretty sure (been a while since I used mup) that is when it tells the remote host to go and get the docker images

thanks for reply, you still use meteor? and if so how do you deploy? mup seems to be the most used for meteor projects but i'm not sure of that.
After running mup deploy it only print :

oh i forget it also show up this warning :
Browserslist: caniuse-lite is outdated. Please run next command npm update
Running npm update doesn't change anything but i assum it doesn't cause the main problem

@YaraVD caniuse-lite is a package that is outdated on the meteor side (one of their atmosphere packages), but nothing that'll cause a problem

Hello guys, first timer here trying to build a very simple meteor app for android.
My template has an <input type=file/>. In client javascript, I am trying to read the contents of the file selected.
For example, if the user was to select a file hello.text with contents "hello", I would simply like to read those contents and display them within a div.

I have tested this in both AVD and my android device. I can access my phone's storage, I see the files, I can select a file, but then nothing happens.
Could it be that I am missing some permissions?

I need a small help on Java UI - Mapping - DB

Hi,

We need to retrieve values from the presentation layer and need to execute a DB query on different mysql Databases based on the configuration (table and column names would be different)

Assume (Presentation values), empName, empId, empAddress, empNo are presentation layer values

One DB (prot_db) has columnns as - emp_name, emp_id, emp_Address, emp_No with table name as "emp"

One DB (conti_db) has columns as - employee_name, employee_id, employee_addres, employee_no with table name as "employee"

One DB (sema_db) has columns as - empl_name, empl_id, empl_addres, empl_no with table name as "empl"

What would be the best approach to define them ?

Approach #1 - have constant variables for each DB and have if condition in the code base
Approach #2 - Any mapper approach to solve this (not sure)
Approach #3 - Any third party API/library which can take care of returning the appropriate string? (not sure)

Would anyone be able to help me figure out why our Meteor website is crashing in Facebook Mobile Browser? I'm finding that apparently there's a TypeError: Cannot read property 'Mongo' of undefined showing up everywhere.

Also Uncaught ReferenceError: meteorInstall is not defined

Hi everybody. I'm looking for an offline-first solution that works with meteor. what I've found so far was that when the user is offline, he can see his data and when he becomes online, his local data get's updated. but I'm looking for the opposite of some sort. which is the user can edit his data while he's offline. and when he becomes online again, the data on the server gets updated, reflecting the changes that the user made to his local data. do you know of any package that does this? thanks for any help you're able to provide.

@franciellylima I also had some troubles with jquery, I don't really know what's wrong with your project but mine got fixed by changing "jquery" by "jquery@3.0.0!" in .meteor/packages
