I'm getting an error which says, "Warning: exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/a4455435/public_html/snapchat.php on line 175".
TerrorFactor
@TerrorFactor
@jKard1210 should have to do something with your security settings, i'm guessing you can enable exec in a config file of php. google it, should get the right results
question: where does snapchat save it's auth token? Before the update, I could login with snapchat, use casper to get the authtoken from snapchat, and use that token in snap-api. But I can't log in on the old snapchat anymore, so I'd like to try 'injecting' the auth token generated by snap-api and see if that works

I'm also getting this error: "Warning: file_put_contents(public_html/authData/auth-james121099.dat) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/a4455435/public_html/snapchat.php on line 321"

:point_up: May 5 2015 3:47 PM so- just the auth being incorrect? or what?
jKard1210
@jKard1210
I fixed that problem, but I'm still getting the "Warning: exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/a4455435/public_html/snapchat.php on line 175". I know that my server allows exec commands, but this one in particular is having an issue. This is the "exec('java -version', $output, $returnCode);" which is in getAuthToken()

Hello All, I am facing some issue with gzdecode function. I am iOS Developer. Can any one help me out ?
Is there any alternative for snap chat API without Google auth ?

Hi. I'm taking a different approach. I am running snapchat in an Android emulator and using mitmproxy to intercept requests and modify them on the fly. I want to post images to my story. I can successfully modify every field EXCEPT for the image itself.
I have tried sending raw image data, padded image data, and padded+encrypted image data.
I have gotten a variety of errors, including 400 bad request, 500 bad request, and unsupported media type
Does anyone have any insight on the difference between these errors?
Also, I intercepted the snapchat image data, which presumably is post-encryption, and saved it to a file.... but I was able to open it as a jpg and see the image, which I found very strange.

For some reason the emulator always ends up posting to /retry_post_story ....... anyone know why??
Steve Allaben
@sallaben
milesrichardson have you tried with a different account?

Any one around ?

@jKard1210 PHP's exec() function has probably been disabled by your hosting provider for obvious security reasons (it allows executing a command on the system), and I would think you will not be able to enable it. Now for using the Snapchat library you need to have your own web server set up locally or on a VPS. Free / Payed web hosting services will not allow exec() commands and they probably don't have Java installed.
ferdau
@ferdau
@cuonic Do you know why the exec always puts null in the result var?
Liam Jack
@cuonic
@ferdau Maybe nothing came back ? The command failed ? Ensure java is installed, try executing the following :
<?php var_dump(exec("java -v")); ?>
ferdau
@ferdau
@cuonic Thanks for the help, I think I screwed something up. Will try tomorrow, thanks!
Liam Jack
@cuonic
@ferdau No prob
ferdau
@ferdau

@cuonic

exec('java -version', $output, $returnCode);
var_dump($output,$returnCode);

ouput: ''
returnCode: 0

But java is installed (everything worked fine a few weeks ago)
Liam Jack
@cuonic
@ferdau If you are on linux try <?php var_dump(exec("/usr/bin/java -version")); ?>. www-data doesn't have the same exec paths as a normal user.

I use OSX but still same result

you can change it in snapchat.php in the getmedia() function

I have installed all dependancies (except php5-zip.. "could not find") on my ubuntu 12.04 server with nginx and php running properly. I was able to execute registerTool.php through command line successfully. But I cannot locate the captcha.zip anywhere on my server when I get to that step. Is it because I do not have the php5-zip dependency installed?

Does anyone know how dsig is generated?
Do you just need to keep the same dsig every time you use the account to avoid flags?
TerrorFactor
@TerrorFactor
@PyroFilmsFX probably something with the permissions, had the same error the first time I tried it. Can't remember what I did to fix it though. I'm running it without sudo, and the folder is somewhere in my home dir
permissions are 0755 on everything btw, but didn't mess with that
