@pmp-p sure, it's ST7533 and you can easily get it on Aliexpress for a few bucks

@pmp-p
i may have found one that looks like yours, but did you get the other one ( maybe ILI based ) to work with micropython ?
@deshipu the "Stubborn 2.2"" :D

@deshipu
Look at https://github.com/adafruit/micropython-adafruit-rgb-display for all the color displays that I got to work with MicroPython

hmm, I just discovered I'm banned from freenode, interesting
Paul m. p. P.
@pmp-p
there was a kline rage earlier
@deshipu there's a banmask on you ?
ho yeah "while working to minimise this spam, staff error led to the majority of the network receiving a temporary K-Line (network ban). The ban has since been lifted and those affected should be able to reconnect. Please accept our apologies, and contact us if you, or someone you know, still cannot connect."
@deshipu try to reconnect msg just showed up
i can ask for help if you are still ban

Hi, I have build the firmware with the last repo commits and i faced the problem with "network" module

>>> import network
E (70120) wifi: invalid magic number ffcf140, call WIFI_INIT_CONFIG_DEFAULT to init config
E (70120) wifi: wifi_init 1361 ret=258
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
OSError: Wifi Invalid Argument

Is there any way to solve this issue?

Hi guys! I'm playing with "socket" module and when the socket listening it's stops the REPL prompt, that not allows me to proceed do anything, like execute another script or module, so that would be very helpful if some one tell me how can I avoid this thing, I mean how can I execute script using socket module on boot and then use the REPL as usual. Thank you in advance!
Radomir Dopieralski
@deshipu
sidisgood: you can listen with a timeout
sidisgood: in a loop, and do things in between
sidisgood
@sidisgood
@deshipu Thank you! That's good idea, but I need to listen all the time, like webrepl do, I have learned the webrepl script but didn't quite understand how the socket started listening as deamon, what's the trick it was, is it os.dupterm()?
Radomir Dopieralski
@deshipu
sidisgood: it's cached, so when something is sent, it will wait until your next call
sidisgood: no, dupterm is for accessing the REPL input/output
sidisgood: I think they use some dirty trick at the C level
sidisgood
@sidisgood
Thank you! will try to find the solution.

so I’m trying to distribute some micropython libs. is there a wiki or doc about how to do that? What are the priorities on the “package management” end of things, if any? looking to see if I can contribute anything to make packaging and installation of modules easier...

@deshipu
there is ongoing work on upip, but it's rather slow
nice replacement for FAT

I've been reading more on the ESP32. I see that the I2S can be used for digital audio, then ?fed back through the DAC?
are there any libraries available to mess with that?

Hi All! I am new to ESP32 /ESP8266 and micropyton but it is a fascinating world. Could somebody help me please with the M5STACK ESP32 LCD? I need to know how to position the cursor on the LCD to use lcd.print("hello world") in let's say the upper left corner
Additionally it would be helpful to know how to do a cr so that I can show text over several lines.
If I print several times hello world it just scrolls out of the LCD on the right and I have bi idea how to reset the LCD without powering the whole device off and on again ;-)

Hi everybody! seems quiet in here but just in case... I'm trying to bring up an ADSL-345 on a D1 Mini running micropython, via I2C. All of the accelerometer values I get seem to be nonsensical -- varying widely, unaffected by movement of the device. I've tried with external 10k pullup resistors on the I2C bus, using the internal pullup resistors, and with the default pin configuration, no difference in results. Device is detected properly at the expected id (0x53).
If anyone has a clue to send my way I'd appreciate it!

Which ssd1306 OLED library seems to be the most complete?

Am I in the right place.?
I'm using a LoPy from pycom.
I seem to have to call uart.readline multiple times and reverse a blocks pushed on a stack?
that doesn't seem right...
I would expect the readline to be like a FIFO and not a FILO

Hi guys! I am just starting with micropython using the esp32 mcu. And I don't know how to disable a digital input interrupt. Does anyone knows?

The PyConDE/PyData Berlin 2019 conference last week, https://de.pycon.org, inspired be to play with MicroPython, again. So I’ve tried compiling the Unix port on Linux and macOS, but I get some issues, see https://github.com/micropython/micropython/issues/5224… Any comments welcome!

@SantamRC can you please provide a text version of the error, e.g. on http://paste.debian.net/ ?
I'm trying to learn how to run a webserver while still keeping the USB repl available as normal. I guess asyncio is the way to go? should I try and get the new implementation (micropython/micropython#5332), i.e. would code for older versions become obsoleted soon?
