@rdstonech
crash after "Done!"
when player spawn
i looked in pmmp and MiNET (protocol documentation for 1.2). I did everything on a commit
Anton
@rdstonech
if you can update vw to 1.2 - please do it xd

@TheDiamondYT1
I don't understand why i cant get it to show in world list
That's to do with raknet
@rdstonech
Luke | 14
@TheDiamondYT1
Got it to show up in the list yay

@SupremeMortal
I couldn't find out why the ServerToClientHandshake was sent incorrectly to the client.
Luke | 14
@TheDiamondYT1
You needed to send a single string
It's supposed to be the JWT, but until we implement that it's allowed to be empty
I forgot what the login sequence is. The console doesn't seem to log the LoginPacket so i'm guessing it doesn't get to that stage
SupremeMortal
@SupremeMortal
I know. I sent the JWT and the client either crashed or went on a ping loop
I'll commit the changes I made to my fork tommorow
I sent it the same way the LoginPacket was received with an AsciiString with the serialized JWT data
{x5u:<public key>,alg:ES384}.{salt:<token>}
SupremeMortal
@SupremeMortal
@TheDiamondYT1 You got anywhere? I committed my code if you want to take a look
Luke | 14
@TheDiamondYT1
@SupremeMortal Can you give me write access to your fork so i can add some new 1.2 packets
SupremeMortal
@SupremeMortal
@TheDiamondYT1 Done

I want to know something
SupremeMortal
@SupremeMortal
Yes?

Would a well coded server software in C++ be faster than a well coded server software in Java?
I've never tested it
A C++ software is an interesting concept because it can have C# plugins
Also C++ games are generally quicker than Java
However i know Java has garbage collection
All the MCPE servers currently lag like fuck
SupremeMortal
@SupremeMortal
You have to manage the memory yourself in C++. There is no garbage collector
Luke | 14
@TheDiamondYT1
I know
I'm comparing both languages
it makes me hiss and hide in a corner when i hear the word jvm
i try not to think about it
lol
Even MiNET, a C# server software still lags
I mean the client doesnt lag but other players appear to be
And world updates can sometimes be slow
SupremeMortal
@SupremeMortal
Everyone has had to rush around. The client isn't even smooth at this point in time.
Luke | 14
@TheDiamondYT1
And i'm banned on the MiNET repository
i know
But my question is
is a C++ server faster than Java
NASIR HUSSAIN
@optimusprime338
ig yes
Luke | 14
@TheDiamondYT1
A lot faster?
SupremeMortal
@SupremeMortal
It's not really a yes or no question. Depends on how it's coded
Luke | 14
@TheDiamondYT1
if it's coded to the quality of voxelwind
