I need some help regarding drag n drop directories in mintty or cygwin using Mintty
the issue is that when I drag it the prompt recognize the path but with single back slash "\" is it a way to permit single back slash or when I drag the route ... drag with double slashes ?

If it wasn't converted, you've pasted text format (the clipboard is tagged with content types...) which will not be converted.
Backslash on the command line needs either escaping or enclosing in single quotes: cd 'C:\wamp2\www'.
Applications that access the terminal capabilities only via terminfo or ncurses, on the other hand, would need the xterm-direct or mintty-direct terminfo description which is not yet available in cygwin.
I was originalyl going to file a github issue but realise now this wouldn't be appropriate
so just going to paste what I was going to write:
The Tips section for emojis needs to be updated. The script for the Unicode site no longer works, because the site now pulls all assets dynamically so you can't just save them.
It seems no browser - or even
wget, can get around this, and they don't save. The sole exception is IE11, which saves everything as 0-byte temp files.
I have also been unable to use other emojis with
wsltty (I tried with twemoji), even after batch-renaming all files and similar efforts. Please consider inheriting the native Windows 10 emoji pack (my preferred) in addition to offering this if at all possible...
my connection's a bit 'all over the place' and I don't run a bnc anymore, but this is all logged on Gitter so feel free to respond whenever if you have any ideas, I know the irc way :) cheers!
The set of supported emoji styles is currently fixed because file name conventions differ among the published emojis so some access details need to be hard-coded unfortunately. If you point me to additional repositories, I'll take a look. The Windows emoji pack - how is it installed and how are they accessed? I'd expect they hide their stuff in some cryptic containers as they like to do...
mintty: I actually changed the filenames on twemoji to match the noto ones 1:1. Noto worked out of the box per the intstructions on the tips page. Even if some of them were different, a good number of files should have still been picked up and used. I know it seems like a frivolous feature, but I use them a lot in WeeChat, which I'm speaking through right now. They make for great replacement text for various symbols in the UI
I don't use a lot of curses applications but I imagine I'd use them elsewhere if I did
I ran the script in native Linux as well, no luck. I haven't actually read it but it looks like it uses local files. The images aren't stored at all when I save the page with any browser, for me.
just to add, I use wsltty, not mintty, not sure if that makes any difference for the Twitter pics.
though regarding the script, I've tried in a full linux system as well (Kubuntu 19.10, on a separate machine) and I run into the same issue. Let me know what browser you use that can also download pics as every browser I seem to try is sadly unable to...#
