Yes it is, you should be able to connect the gcs on udp port 14550

it's also inverted signal, but I understand that didn't matter for ardupilot

It is NOT inverted signal == FRSKY is but not DSMX
Actually you could read it with FTDI and RealTerm

reading back a bit: the data signal is on the first pin, not the second of the eQeP port. Just to be sure I don't make a mistake

yep it is enabled, so it should start.... unfortunately I dont have a DSM receiver. I just oredred one so I shoud be able to test in a few days.

the issue was my fault I had no failsafe set on the receiver properly

i haven't touched anything other than quadcopters at the moment. I have an old early 90's skylark 40t gas trainer that I need to build. I want to use arducopter on it with the gas motor and fpv. sounds amazing
