Hi, does everyone has a guide to deploy in production, I have read the docs, and the deployment section could use some more work ;-), or are you guys just using the development deployment approach?

Does anyone know if the Dashboard 1.0 is going to be depreciated when Dashboard 2.0 launches? Honestly I kinda hate React so would rather just continue to work in my beloved django if possible :P

I would like to implement shipping rate quotes based on the shipping address and items ordered. I haven't gotten any response from emailing the contact addresses listed. Anyone on here I could chat with?

I'm building a similar GraphQL backed with frontend that Saelor with some customization could work. Anyone got any suggestions on the best approach, I have my own graphql done and such with Django and everything but I'm guessing it might be easier to fork this and base it off this that way I can push improvements back up? Curious anyone's suggestions
the goal would be to keep the storefront stuff but add in my existing api for example for tracking snake records and such then later I'd make these available for sale which would put them into the existing storefront stuff that Saelor already has I really don't want to build that from scratch

@btotharye I'm doing similar stuff for my project. Fork the repo, build on top of existing, customize existing if need be, but don't start from scratch.

@ashishnitinpatil yea kinda what I was thinking how hard was it to bring your existing api schema and stuff in?
I'm using JWT and stuff so I don't see it being that difficult, my only change is my users will have a concept of say a breeder and will have their admin panel and they will be selling snakes and stuff through the system so its a small change but I don't think it would be that bad
I guess like you said just fork it and start trying to make it mine basically and update the schema and such for my new snake stuff

Oh, I didn't have existing GraphQL APIs & schema as such, but creating new things is quite easy. It's time consuming in the start, but progressively you get the hang of it & using existing structure is probably best since it already has good test coverage.

well I'm not that far in on my schema so it wouldn't be bad
and I'm doing it in Django anyways

Then I'd definitely recommend going the saleor way (fork first)

yea that is my thinking I'm looking at the code and it would take me forever to build this out
and I need most of what it has already

yep, specially the checkout aspect (basket, etc.)

yea I don't need that day one but later on, right now on beta I just need the basics my api already has adding snake records, tracking feeds, etc then I want that to kind of be the look and feel of the admin dashboard part
then later the cart system and storefront will come so people can just mark their snake for sale and it shows up in the market, etc
that admin dashboard is solid kudos to the people that made that, its exactly what I wanted to make lol

You can always look at the existing dashboards (there are 2, dashboard 1.0 default & dashboard-next which is 2.0) to utilize them
It's much more sleek than vanilla django admin, which is anyway never recommended for non-staff use

yea obviously

And you have existing templates, although, I found the saleor dashboard code a little hard to understand, maybe you won't. Good luck!

I figured someone had already done what I was about to do so glad I found this earlier on

I was using django-oscar prior to this, but I started that project a year back, since then saleor has transformed quite a bit. And you're welcome :)

that 2.0 dashboard isn't bad except I don't see a mobile nav :)

@btotharye it lacks some features AFAIK, it's incomplete as of now.
