@meshek2015 Hi there! Did you set up the environment variables? https://github.com/mirumee/saleor-storefront#getting-started

@resourceldg
@beatboxchad thanks !
I discovered git flow after posting, I'm already applying it.

@meshek2015
Hi @karolkielecki yes I have set up the env variable. Is there a document to deploy the storefront and dashboard to live to follow?

@karolkielecki
@meshek2015 Hey! You can find some details here: https://docs.saleor.io/docs/deployment/intro/#docsNav. If you need any help, just let me know.
@Joash-star Hi there! I've seen your issue on Spectrum. I'll reply you there
meshek2015
@meshek2015
Thanks @karolkielecki
I have one question ... What is the recommended GB ram for the instance... I am having a 2 GB ram instance and Google cloud says performance bssues and recommending to upgrade...
Karol
@karolkielecki
To be honest I'm not sure what to recommend here. Let me ask the team
Karol
@karolkielecki
@meshek2015 Do you need it just for Saleor or Saleor + data base etc. ?
Karol
@karolkielecki

@/all We've seen that many of you asked for help about how to use Docker Compose. If you would like to learn how to run Saleor with Docker Compose, read our new blog article explaining the issue in detail - written by @beatboxchad.

We're also working on improvements and automatization regarding using Docker Compose for the production. Stay tuned!

@jyoost
@beatboxchad looks great, thanks.

@beatboxchad
I really love the graphic Mirumee made for it.

Will we get authorized.net gateway integration in the future? It seems that this would be ideal as it would support many merchants who don't really want to use stripe or braintree
resourceldg
@resourceldg
great @beatboxchad thanks!
Karol
@karolkielecki
Hey @likewhoa! Currently, we're working on other essential features for Saleor. We don't have this integration on our roadmap, but we'll discuss it. If we decide to work on that, I'll let you know.
Fernando Reyes
@likewhoa
anyone have issue with avalara? They don't want to give me an production API and demand I pay them because they just won't give me tax rates for free and the other tax feature in saleor just won't work for me since it's european taxes.
meshek2015
@meshek2015
Hi @karolkielecki thanks I need to for both saleor and postgres and isolated as well
Karol
@karolkielecki
So I think you should upgrade it, but let me ask my colleague. I'll get back to you with the answer tomorrow @meshek2015

i have tried many time to run the store front but i keep getting this error
Karol
@karolkielecki
@ssanusi Let me take a look at it. I'll get back to you later today. In the meantime, maybe you can try to clear the cache and then run the storefront once again.
Karol
@karolkielecki
@meshek2015 So it seems 2GB ram should be enough, but it also depends on how big store you have etc. It would be better to separate the db from the saleor workers to avoid affecting the database if something goes wrong with that instance. For example file corruption, hardware failure, etc.
Karol
@karolkielecki
@ssanusi Do you have any products in your databse?
Sulaiman Sanusi
@ssanusi
@karolkielecki i do
@karolkielecki i can see that is a permission issue
Karol
@karolkielecki
But can you run the storefront despite the errors?
Sulaiman Sanusi
@ssanusi
There are console error
Karol
@karolkielecki
@ssanusi
  • The 'permission denied' error has been fixed on the master branch only for now. However, we don't recommend you using the master branch. The latest stable Saleor version is 2.9.1
  • Are your products hidden?
  • Can you check which query on the console gives you permission denied error?

It looks like an issue on our side. We'll investigate it.

I've tried deploying Saleor to docker locally and heroku via the URL on github and I can't get anything to come up after I deploy. When I run localhost:8000 I get a graphql instance and my heroku instance just shows me a blank empty page. Any advice?
Igor Ishchenko
@igoris
@dnpthree you have the repo only with the backend. You either need to clone the legacy-views repo or try following this guide https://medium.com/saleor/running-saleor-with-docker-compose-c3713511dbbd. It will get you the storefront on localhost:3000, the backend on localhost:8000/graphql/ and the dashboard on localhost:9000/dashboard/
hi there, btw
Igor Ishchenko
@igoris
I noticed that dashboard doesn't have the translations sections for the menu items. I guess I can just use the graphql playground to load the translations for them but I'd be happy to implement it in the dashboard. However, looks like I need some help to get started. It looks like plop is used to generate the boilerplate for the components but the config files are not in the repository. Am I missing something?
dnpthree
@dnpthree
thank you @igoris this project seems a little overwhelming to setup. I thought it was a quick setup to start tbh... but now I'm not really sure how I'll be able to deploy it
I thought the heroku deployment would just "work" but do I need to add a dashboard to that as well?
dnpthree
@dnpthree
was anyone else able to get heroku to work out of the box via github deployment?
Igor Ishchenko
@igoris
yeah, all three components are completely separate and should be deployed individually
