Josh
@joshtombs
Jul 29 2014 18:50
im not sure that works like we want it to do its
cuz u want it to have a selector inside the index right?
so shouldnt it @at and then find?
Sam Saccone
@samccone
Jul 29 2014 18:52
call @at(index).then(function(widget){ return widget.find(selector).then(function(el){el.click()}))
or something
wow
Josh
@joshtombs
Jul 29 2014 18:53
yeah thats not failing but its also not clicking
Sam Saccone
@samccone
Jul 29 2014 18:53
owch
Josh
@joshtombs
Jul 29 2014 18:53
and lol
its gotta be close though because the other test didnt fail
the other clickAt without a selector
is there a way to see what is inside that el
like after finding it can i see what text is inside
Josh
@joshtombs
Jul 29 2014 18:58
i also tend to look at docs right after i send messages
bad habit
getText()
wo
œœ
Josh
@joshtombs
Jul 29 2014 19:05
its always good when youre doing the right thing and just not setting event listeners correctly
apparently i had to set it on p.clickable as well
i figured .clickable would set to all elements of that classs

@samccone whats the difference between read and getText
Sam Saccone
@samccone
Jul 29 2014 19:27
read
the
Josh
@joshtombs
Jul 29 2014 19:27
because when creating a readAt.. getText works but u cant actually read it
Sam Saccone
@samccone
Jul 29 2014 19:27
<code>
but
read looks at the value attr first
then calls getText
Josh
@joshtombs
Jul 29 2014 19:28
yeah because the return from the find() is a DOM node, not a widget
so you cant call getAttribute on that
so you can't read it
Josh
@joshtombs
Jul 29 2014 19:42
caught it, there was a bug on read
making it tricky
Sam Saccone
@samccone
Jul 29 2014 19:42
yeah?
Josh
@joshtombs
Jul 29 2014 19:43
this is what it was
selected = @find(selector)
    selected.getAttribute('value').then (value) ->
      if value
        return transformer(value)
      else
        return selected.getText().then transformer
@find(selector).then (el) ->
      el.getAttribute('value').then (value) ->
        if value
          return transformer(value)
        else
          return el.getText().then transformer
thats what i made it
Sam Saccone
@samccone
