    Tomorrow I'm Going to show this to all the other devs at the startup where I'm working
    Luiz Bezerra
    @luizbafilho
    @jwebcat thanks, don't hesitate on giving us feedback if you have any problems
    Dr. Lau Cher Han
    @cherhan
    Hi there
    Is there somewhere I can find a tutorial for motepair ?
    I can't connect with my friend :(
    Luiz Bezerra
    @luizbafilho
    @cherhan what is happening exactly? To connect you just have to both open the same directory and start a session. You can start the session via the Motepair:connect command (you can trigger this command via Cmd+Shift+P).
    Dr. Lau Cher Han
    @cherhan
    same director as in structure wise ?
    or same root directory of project?
    Luiz Bezerra
    @luizbafilho
    same root directory of the project.
    that is necessary because we send the relative path of the file that is being edited.

    @burabure
    hi everyone.
    loving the plugin
    but is there a way to prevent autocomplete from opening on paired clients?
    Rob Lingle
    @roblingle
    Open the "same directory" means "same directory path from root of the OS", right? So, I can't have my project under my home directory?
    Rob Lingle
    @roblingle
    :point_up: apparently it doesn't mean same exact path :smile:
    Mohit Chawla
    @alcy
    Hey folks, does motepair work for three people ?
    Luiz Bezerra
    @luizbafilho
    @roblingle You are right. It has to be the same relative path, not the absolute path. That means you can open in /home/roblingle/project and I can do /home/luiz/project
    but if you open just /home/robling, you are going to get some weird behavior =D
    @alcy yes, it works
    there are no limits

    @chrisjm
    Hello everyone! Has anyone been able to connect different platforms (ie. pairing on Windows and Mac )?
    Luiz Bezerra
    @luizbafilho
    @chrisjm that shouldn't be a problem. have you tried with linux and mac? I've have never tested on windows, I'm not sure if works
    Lucas do Amaral Saboya
    @lucazz
    @luizbafilho @chrisjm it works just fine across Windows, Ubuntu and OS X
    I've tested that recently

    Hi all!
    Quick question: in the motepair atom package configuration, along with a server & port, there is an option for an email address -- what is this used for?
    Luiz Bezerra
    @luizbafilho
    @jpziller that is to show your gravatar on the cursor
    jpziller
    @jpziller
    @luizbafilho Thanks!

    @coditoter
    Hi I wanted to collaborate using atom on our server and I came across this package
    but I'm not sure how to install and use it, there's only few docs about it
    Luiz Bezerra
    @luizbafilho
    Hi @coditoter to use your own server, just go to https://github.com/motepair/motepair-server follow the installation instructions. After that, go to Motepair setting in your Atom, and point it to the server IP and Port.

    @shadowbq
    Hi, Im having a bad time installing motepair. :worried: The Settings and the Commands are NOT registering after a "successful" install in ATOM. 1.4.0 Ubuntu Linux.
    motepair atom package configuration only shows the keybindings. Searching for registered commands return zero "Motepair" commands.
    Ubuntu 15.10
    Luiz Bezerra
    @luizbafilho
    Hi @shadowbq I'm gonna take a look. Could you please open a issue on github to help me to keep track.
    shadowbq
    @shadowbq
    @luizbafilho done.

    @mentalgrinds
    It looks like development has fallen off on this project. Does anyone know the status?
    Jonathan Berglind
    @jberglinds
    Should nested folders in a project sync when using motepair? When I init motepair in the root of my project only the files in the actual root sync. When opening a file from a subfolder the file opens on the other computer but not as a collaborative session. Any edits are not synced unless they are on files in root of where motepair was started.
    Luiz Bezerra
    @luizbafilho
    Hi @jberglinds Both atoms need to open the very same root directory, because what identifies the files in the sessions are their relative path.
    Jonathan Berglind
    @jberglinds
    Yes, I know. #/

    @leonmaia
    @jberglinds This is a strange behavior, files on nested folders should sync. Which OS you're using and Atom version?
    Jonathan Berglind
    @jberglinds
    Sorry, Gitter autosends on phone. But that's what I did - opened atom in the root of the project on both computers. Everything worked as expected on files in the root but when opening files in a subdirectory of the project no sync takes place
    Haven’t got access to computer right now but OS X El Capitan (10.11.6 i think) with atom 1.5.4. Together with a Windows 10 something with atom 1.5.4
    Jonathan Berglind
    @jberglinds
    With tab-sync on the correct files were automatically opened but no sync of edits or saving of the filé
    I’m so done with gitter on phone. Sorry for spam. what I tried to write was that it wont sync or save in subfolders

    Does this still work? I'm not seeing the commands show up in my command finder and clicking connect/ disconnect has no visible effect
    TheNotary
    @TheNotary
    I got it working!!!! ctrl + alt + g prompted to create a unique ID for my pairing session which is registered on ws.motepair.com, and then on another window openened in the same folder, choosing connect and pasting the previously found id syncs up the two atom project views!
    Luiz Bezerra
    @luizbafilho
    @coditoter nice.
