    @zee-moz I've found the guide. And sad about no swags 😢
    How do we obtain the funds. Glad to do a sprint in Ghana this year. Would make available options to join online. There's another Ghanaian we saw on Mavericks call but I can't find him anymore. Please let me know if you're here. We can collaborate

    @zee-moz and @stephwright I found that the template is not updated here https://github.com/acabunoc/mozsprint-repo-template can I know where can I find the latest one?

    @BhuvanaMeenakshiK since we have a more flexible format for the Sprint for Internet Health this year, sprinters can use any platform they'd like to coordinate collaborations. We didn't release a new GitHub template this year, and we won't be maintaining a central repo of all projects. Instead, projects and sites can list on pulse, using this link https://mzl.la/sprint4pulse
    Hope this helps!
    @Botsyoelily I think @stephwright can answer your questions about funding

    @zee-moz Regarding the funding as I am a Rep the Reps program is helping me with a petty budget cash for hosting the event :)
    Stephanie Wright
    @stephwright
    Hi @Botsyoelily … It depends on what you’re seeking funding for. If it’s for a venue, reach out to your local community to see if anyone has access to a space they’re willing to provide for your sprint. If you’re looking for snacks for your participants, I’d reach out to local small businesses to see if any of them would be willing to donate funding. As @BhuvanaMeenakshiK mentioned above, if you’re a Mozilla Rep, there’s the possibility of getting funding from the Reps program.
    Anyone else on here have suggestions?

    @alcinnz
    Hi, I was referred here by one David Ross upon mentioning my interest in new search and discovery technologies. In how they can enhance people's control over the process and their privacy. I have no experience hosting an event, but I have a project and an idea for a somewhat-related event.
    Stephanie Wright
    @stephwright
    Hi @alcinnz … Have you had a chance to look at @zee-moz ’s Open Events Guide: https://foundation.mozilla.org/en/opportunity/open-events-guide/
    It’s quite a ways up the chat.
    Adrian Cochrane
    @alcinnz
    Yes, I've read through it.
    How does an event exploring applications of the OpenSearch and SKOS standards sound? Or domain-specific search more generally?
    Zannah Marsh
    @zee-moz
    @alcinnz who are you hoping will attend your event? You could run your ideas by some members of your community and see what they are most interested in-- open search or a more general topic.
    Adrian Cochrane
    @alcinnz
    I'm looking still looking for my community, unfortunately.
    Though I'm starting to find some people interested in the general topic, so maybe I'll be more ready next year.

    @nohorse
    do we have a global issue label or repo topic for global-sprint? I'd love to set up repo for success and tage issues to find collaborators the same way that hacktoberfest works. If we don't have one, I'd recoment "global-sprint"
    OH, Maybe "sprintforih" is the lable/topic?
    Zannah Marsh
    @zee-moz
    @acabunoc in the past has done most of the planning around GitHub and the sprint. Abby, what do you think of @nohorse 's idea?
    Abigail Cabunoc Mayes
    @acabunoc
    @nohorse I'd continue with 'mozsprint' from previous years!

    Hi @/all ! Our sprint has started early and you can see some of the tweets here https://twitter.com/search?q=%23lc2019%20%23mozsprint&src=typd. We are seeing a lot of interest in developing FAIR material https://www.go-fair.org/fair-principles/ We've already had some material developed https://librarycarpentry.org/Top-10-FAIR/ Just added one for astronomy and now one of our community members is interested in doing one for imaging https://twitter.com/orchid00/status/1128198201998098432 Please join her if you can. As always, we've also started work on the lessons https://librarycarpentry.org/lessons/ More info about the main sprint at the end of the month https://librarycarpentry.org/blog/2019/03/lc-mozilla-global-sprint/

    Is there a promo video or something for global sprint?
    Stephanie Wright
    @stephwright
    There’s no promo video… what kind of “or something” were you thinking of @nickkauf_twitter ? Do you mean to get the word out about the Sprint?
    Nick Kaufmann
    @nickkauf_twitter
    something to share with the attendees of our event, but no worries, we already hosted it and it went well
