Hi @/all ... Just discovered a couple of the links for Google Docs in the README were only letting folks in Mozilla domain in. I have fixed that now and hopefully everyone should be able to edit and comment on all the docs.

hi @/all … I apologize for the scattered participation in the repo and docs. After reviewing some of the comments I’m thinking it might be helpful to create a list of the topics we’ve thought of so far for the primers and modules. If you have feedback on where things might fit in one primer/module vs another, that’d be helpful to us, as well as identifying topics we may have missed. Will post the link to the list when I’ve finished typing it up in the repo.
Zannah Marsh
@zee-moz
@/all I created a template for the modules, link and more info in a comment on this issue: mozillascience/open-data-training#19
Stephanie Wright
@stephwright
Yay! Thanks @zee-moz … will go look now
And here’s the link to the topics list I mentioned above: https://github.com/mozillascience/open-data-training/blob/master/planning/topics.md
Feel free to provide feedback on that through corresponding issue: mozillascience/open-data-training#22

@dvigneshwer
how is the training structured ? Do we have hands-on so that we can practice open data processes
I can contribute to the data analysis part, that's what I do for daily bread :P
Stephanie Wright
@stephwright
@dvigneshwer the materials are divided into two parts: 1) Primers - for solo reading / learning at your own pace, and 2) Instructor Guides - for those who want to teach open data based off the information in the primers. The instructor guides include hands-on exercises and are meant to be customized by the instructor for the audience and situation they are teaching to.
