thnak you @HassenPy
the background you have seen is an experemental one
i'm a bit new to coding so i don't realy know how to add a visible calender can you help me with that?
Hassen ben tanfous
do this and get the code to embed to calendar: https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/41207?hl=en
the calendar*
oh wait a sec, you can atleast do html and css right?
i'm a beginner but i am familliar with the html codes because i used to edit them when i was managing an ahlamentad website
Hassen ben tanfous
okey then
find the portfolio_grid.html file, and paste the iframe code of your calendar at the end of it, right before the last closing </div>
ok thanks
Hassen ben tanfous
make a new div there with a class="col-lg-12"
and put the iframe code inside it
then you need to give the iframe a style of width: 100%
you're welcome :)

Thank you for sharing these tips @HassenPy !! They're great. We have an instructional video on our youtube channel about setting up your study group site for the first time, but the suggestions for custom theming aren't very specific, so I really appreciate these tips all! Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVXfx6NmbJE

how can i edit my respiratory..like adding file, removing file?
Aurelia Moser
Hi @rkmsh, Github just instituted drag and drop updates to repos, so once you fork you should be able to select an "upload" button for uploading files, though I'm not sure you can remove things as easily. If you are working from the command line, you can removed files from your repo with the git rm command and add files to the repo with the git add command. You can read about removing files here and read about adding files here.
Marcos Vital (LEQ-UFAL)
@rkmsh , I took a screenshot and pointed to the delete icon; you will be able to see it once you click on a file name inside the repository
so it is easy to delete from there as well ;)
but with time, believe that learning to do things from the command line like Aurelia showed above is probably the best way to go

Hello beloved Study Group Leads @/all! You might have noticed that things have been a little quiet here in gitter! We're reorganizing some programs at the science lab and will be canceling this month's study group call (Friday of this week) in favor of prepping our Open Data Community Call on October 12th; we hope you'll join us then!: https://science.mozilla.org/programs/events/community-call-oct-12-11-et

I'm missing our study group calls while Mozilla is reorganizing! Maybe we could do updates here?
ComBEE @ UW-Madison is going well with new leadership. We've not had many big group meetings this semester but python and R study group have been very strong. We hosted a very useful workshop on using git/gh-pages for personal websites at the beginning of the semester. Python study group has had ~20 people at every meeting this semester! R study group has dropped of a little with the usual getting busy part of the semester but we still have about 10 people coming regularly and people seem to be learning lots. @/all I'd love to hear how your study groups are going and the events you've been hosting!
Aurelia Moser
congratulations @sstevens2 !!! Sounds awesome, +1 to asynchronous updates. I miss the calls too!
Stephanie Wright
Thanks for keeping the chat alive @sstevens2 and love the update!

Hello @brute4s99 !
Anne Fouilloux
I am trying to set-up a new mozilla group for our university in Oslo (Norway). I forked the repository https://github.com/mozillascience/studyGroup to https://github.com/uio-carpentry/studyGroup but I don't see the resulting website https://uio-carpentry.github.io/studyGroup. I got an error (page not found). I don't understand what I am doing wrong. Can anyone help me? thanks.
It looks like, you need to make 1 commit or change to any file in the fork to trigger the update :)
Maybe you can change the "title" in the _config.yml https://github.com/uio-carpentry/studyGroup/blob/gh-pages/_config.yml
I hope this helps! Have a nice weekend! (also I will tell my friend Sarah out in Oslo to link up with your studyGroup when you're all up and running)
