Greg Svitak
@gsvitak

I am having problem building the solution. I think it has to do with the NuGet Cobalt package. I have created my local NuGet package to match exact what is in the repo. I have installed the package from the local location. However when I build, it looks like it cannot find the package.

I am using OQA 2013 SP1 in the NuGet package.

Here is a screen shot.

Would you mind helping? Any advice?

hey Greg. where did you put the nupkg? in a local feed? is your vs configured to use the feed?
(btw i'm on holiday so it may take me a while to respond ;))

@wjw0716
I can't edit docx file that more than 50MB in Office Online Server.
I want to know how to reset the file size limit.

Would you mind helping?
Petr Švihlík
@petrsvihlik
are you getting any specific errors? have you looked at the windows event viewer for logged errors?
wjw0716
@wjw0716
in windows event viewer,no errors
in browers,show the file is too big
in fact, size of the file is 130MB
could you try to upload a file that more than 50MB and edit it?
wjw0716
@wjw0716
I think the limit in the Office Online Server.Perhaps the settings in <OOS_PATH>\WebWordEditor\web.config
I chang some settings ,but it was useless.
Petr Švihlík
@petrsvihlik
i'll try that but i guess there won't be any difference. have you tried whether it works in onedrive+office online?
wjw0716
@wjw0716
I’ll try it in onedrive+office online.
Petr Švihlík
@petrsvihlik
here is some info about the limits in office online http://wopi.readthedocs.io/en/latest/faq/file_sizes.html
it's likely that similar limits are applied also in OOS/OWA
Greg Svitak
@gsvitak

@petrsvihlik Sorry about the delay. I was not notified about your reply.

The Nuget package is local but the Visual Studio 2015 options we set to build the source file using .Net Core instead of .Net 46. If I set it to .Net 46, the project built without issue.

If you click on the dropbox link above, I added a highlight to the screen shot to illustrate what I mean.

So I guess my question is what should the build setting for the source file be? .Net Core or .Net 46.

Petr Švihlík
@petrsvihlik
@gsvitak that's interesting...if you used the nuspecs included in the wopihost project it should build for both target frameworks...
Greg Svitak
@gsvitak
can you please attach your nuspecs?
wjw0716
@wjw0716
I want to chang the limit for Word,so it's no effect.
wjw0716
@wjw0716

in onedrive+office online, I upload a 4M docx file ,the borwer didn't work.
Petr Švihlík
@petrsvihlik
@wjw0716 afaik, there are no "legal" options to change the max file size OWA/OOS can process (except for excel as I said before)...anyway, it's on the WOPI CLIENT part so there's nothing we can do about it from the WOPI HOST perspective...
wjw0716
@wjw0716
Thank you so much.

Hi, I'm integrating Office Online Server in my Ruby On Rails Application, Everything is ok but save file. After file is saved, It can't open again.
Is there any special point I missed?
The saved file can be opened by Pages and LibreOffice, but the WORD saves it's corrupted and need to be fixed, after fixed, it's normal again
I tried all possible but no any clue, Is there any advices? Thanks
Petr Švihlík
@petrsvihlik
I'd try the following - unzip the corrupted file (office open xml format is just a zip containing several XMLs) and compare the contents with the fixed file (unzipped as well). use beyond compare or a similar tool. that should help you identify the problem.
Shenhf
@shenhf
@petrsvihlik You'are really on the point. I just unzip the corrupted file and rezip it. It's OK! Nothing changed in unzip file.
So I had to write the code unzip the file, rezip the file, and save it!
It's ugly but works

@shenhf
@petrsvihlik I have another question to ask you, How to supports multiple users editing a document at the same time, the SupportsCoauth seems deprecated.
Petr Švihlík
@petrsvihlik
implement locking..the rest should be handled by OOS. see my comment here: https://github.com/marx-yu/WopiHost/issues/7#issuecomment-291475667
Shenhf
@shenhf
@petrsvihlik thanks
Shenhf
@shenhf
I'm already have code to save X-WOPI-LOCK value and response with code 200, but when another user edit the file, seems still not in co-author mode.
@petrsvihlik Is this about CobaltServer? Document says it's not require in new version.
Petr Švihlík
@petrsvihlik
cobalt shouldn't be necessary for OOS2016 (it was for OWA 2013)
i haven't tested coauthoring myself, so I can't tell. I'd go through the lock documentation (http://wopi.readthedocs.io/projects/wopirest/en/latest/files/Lock.html) and make sure I have implemented everything according to it
Shenhf
@shenhf
Ok, thanks. I will check the document and see what i missed

@petrsvihlik
Hi @/all , I'm wondering if any of you is still using https://github.com/petrsvihlik/WopiHost ... and what is your experience. What needs to be improved? I'll have more time for this project soon so I need to create and prioritize the backlog. Thanks for ideas!
Ahmed Albasyouni
@aalbasyouni
@petrsvihlik I am using your WopiHost app in my project. Thank you, but I am facing a problem that when editing a word file by OOS in edit mode and wait untill showing saving complete when i return back to a viewer in read mode it does not show the modified version. Can you please help me in that issue, also when I open a new tab for editing it show my name many time as coauthoring . is that the right behavior. thanks.
Petr Švihlík
@petrsvihlik

@aalbasyouni hi Ahmed, regarding the first issue - can you verify that the PUT action has taken place before you open the file for viewing? (you can place a breakpoint in the FilesController.PutFile(string)method.) you can also compare the output of the Files.GetCheckFileInfo() before and after the file is modified (properties such as LastModifiedTime or Version should differ. Also, check for any errors in the event viewer of the OOS/OWA machine as described in the step 4 here.

as for the second issue, let me try to reproduce it locally.
