    Has anyone had trouble with textarea elements reverting to their default value when a tag updates? For instance, I have default data in my textarea using {defaultText} for example, then I write some new text in the textarea, I run a submit function, the tag updates and my textarea goes back to the default data, and the new data has been erased.
    Anyone have any tips on preventing tag update? It was even updating the tag when an unrelated mouseover function was called from a nested tag.

    Does riot support form binding or bi-directional binding? Is there a plugin?
    Martin Muzatko
    @MartinMuzatko
    First of all, please join riot/riot to have more people answer your questions
    Second: There is no bi-directional binding. Form binding? Will only update when you update it (onkeyup -> this.username = e.target.value)

    how to use riotgear alerts like this : https://riotgear.js.org/components/alerts/ ?
    avi
    @dharmax
    i can't get riotts to render the components. i placed it as a git submodule under the folder where my js and html are. i followed the execution and it looks good (the registration, for example, did return a tagname) but when mounting, it just doesn't find the component to mount.... It does, however, find a normally defined (tag file) riot component..... Any ideas?

    Hi guys, in a custom tag HTML, I managed to write condition display like {'foobar': value!=null}. This will display foobar is value is not null. I'm wondering if there is a way to do something like {value.toString(): value!=null}. To display value if the value is not null. I tested this but, I get error. Any help is welcome
    jkx
    @jkx
    Ok, answering myself : the correct style is : { value == null ? 'null' : value.toString()}

    Hey does anyone know how to mount to <html><head><title>? Let's say can I do something like <head><title>{ appName }</title></head>

    Hi guys, riot.mount(name, opts) is returning undefined if I use an external with <script type='riot/tag' src='...' />. If I remove that script tag it works! Any idea?
    I mean, can I use inline tags and external tags at the same time?
    it seems not possible currently

    Hi guys, I'm wondering if there is a way to share template & code between several tags. I'm looking for inheritance or something like that. I want a tag to provide default code/template if not overrided.
    @brauliobo rio.mount() return nothing if you use the browser compiler. You have to use something like this
    riot.compile(function() {
    tags = riot.mount('*');
    })
