    @kcheng-mvp is this in Windows? or Linux? The above log shouldn't affect the web server from starting. Could you check if your web server's working?
    neitine
    @neitine
    it's not working
    it's a linux server
    HyunGil Jeong
    @Xylus
    hmm that is weird, did the hbase go up alright?
    neitine
    @neitine
    yes
    I followed the manual to start the server one by one, but find it does not work, then I checked the log found above error message
    may be you can have a try on your side
    HyunGil Jeong
    @Xylus
    yup, I'm retrying to reproduce on our side. give me a few
    in the mean time, could you check your log for any other error? Is there anything after the above error?
    neitine
    @neitine
    Sure, I can upload the whole log file
    HyunGil Jeong
    @Xylus
    the whole log might be too long, just the part after the error above would suffice :)

    it seems ok before the error
    no other exception

    no other exception
    by the way, why need HADOOP_HOME?
    HyunGil Jeong
    @Xylus
    it shouldn't. It's just in hbase client code, which is why it should simply log the error and the web server should start okay
    neitine
    @neitine
    if hadoop is not necessary then why not swallow this error?
    from the view of an developer(end user) the error message make it unconfortable (:
    HyunGil Jeong
    @Xylus
    yeh, I agree it being uncomfortable. unfortunately, the hadoop library is swallowing the exception and logging the error at debug level
    just tried it on our side and the web server starts fine with the exception logged. What happens when you connect to QUICKSTART_WEB:28080? do you get a 404?
    neitine
    @neitine
    does gitter support upload an screenshot?
    HyunGil Jeong
    @Xylus
    not entirely sure, you could try copy and pasting?
    neitine
    @neitine
    does not work
    it works right now, but I found that I can not choose the application from the web-ui
    Seems web-ui does not find the test application
    HyunGil Jeong
    @Xylus
    how does the web log look now?
    neitine
    @neitine
    just a moment
    HyunGil Jeong
    @Xylus
    kk
    btw, the application not showing anything means 2 things :
    either the Web is not connecting to hbase (in which case the web would log errors)
    or nothing has been stored by the collector to hbase
    to check if it's the first case, the web log should have something like 15:15:13 DEBUG(c.n.p.w.c.MainController :50 ) /applications []
    without any exception
    neitine
    @neitine
    it's ok now
    it's my falut, I forget to init the table
    by the way, does pinpoint support the monitor database? such as slow sql execution?
    HyunGil Jeong
    @Xylus
    :+1: awesome! If you notice any other problems, feel free to give us a word :)
    neitine
    @neitine
    by the way, does pinpoint support the monitor database? such as slow sql execution?
    and how to embed the agent to my application? I can not get any findings about this part
    HyunGil Jeong
    @Xylus
    Pinpoint can monitor database queries through the transaction view (using the call stack).We don't have aggregation support yet (such as showing the slowest queries) but we're planning to add this soon.
    take a look at https://github.com/naver/pinpoint/blob/master/doc/installation.md#pinpoint-agent for attaching the agent to your own application
    neitine
    @neitine
    Thank you very much!
    neitine
    @neitine
    By the way, how to contribute this project?
    is there a bug track system such as jira? then I can pick up a task
    HyunGil Jeong
    @Xylus
    we use github for all that
    adiboy6
    @adiboy6

    @Xylus need help in setting up sql for quickstart
