I am on a mac, and I would like to use my favourite editor and have somehow the files synced with the rpi
right now, I am opening them with filezilla, but that's a pain...

My workflow could be optimized a bit, but I have a BASH alias that rsyncs the code over

rsync -avz -e ssh raspi-io pi@192.168.2.2:/home/pi for example
I tether my Raspberry Pi off of my laptop to make sure it’s always at the same IP address and share my wifi connection to my ethernet port

I am trying appletalk
but if that doesn't work, then I'll move to rsync. thanks

I…err…vaguely remember that being a thing like 15 years ago. I don’t really know what it does

Basically, you open the /home/pi like a shared folder on windows. But it's a mac thing.

oh interesting, looks like Apple dropped support for it in 2009 and rolled bits and pieces into bonjour
