An actionhero plugin for the passport authentication middleware
that should do the job
you can also enable development mode (which restarts when most files - e.g. actions) are edited
ye currently in development mode
the log level should be what you need then
@billybonks - how did you get on with the plugin?
Off the bat seems to be working fine, just tested a general overview will let u know when I use it more. But passport github redirected to wrong within url. But maybe was cause was using fake keys. Will be better to store faith creds in ignored config file for security. We can use naming conventions for auto mapping
yeah it sent me to the wrong URL when i had fake keys but worked when i used real ones
i havent tested with a publicly available server for the oAuth return though
that’s the main thing i wanted to test first
Cool, I'll probably work open a pull for small changes and maybe a Dec if I want something more extreme
ok cool, sounds good
i’m not sure if i’ll use the plugin or not myself but there seemed to be some demand for it so it’s a starter at least
So I just did a little testing with ngrok (https://ngrok.com/) and it seems to work ok, at least as stage 1
I havent done the post with the code sent in the oAuth callback but I will try to test it
This package doesn't provide jwt but it should allow you to use any strategy. I should stress that this plugin is not yet thoroughly tested any might be a little out of date with action hero. I am planning to update it but haven't had time yet.
hw to have a google auth using passport?
Hey guys, I know this isn't a chat for Passport as a whole but I can't find anyone who knows passportjs who can answer my question
I'm using expressjs and mysql with SequelizeJS to create my own user authentication system
I'm wondering if I used passport what would it do for me?
