@chemzqm
@GeneralCorn run yarn install for master branch of coc.nvim
Cobbi
@GeneralCorn
is there a specific way to specify master
Qiming zhao
@chemzqm
What does specify master means?
Cobbi
@GeneralCorn
uh like, yarn install (what) hhh sorry
Bit new at this

You're already on the master branch. git checkout branch --list and git checkout <branch> will let you change branches.
git branch --list not git checkout branch --list sorry
Qiming zhao
@chemzqm
Make your plugin manager install release branch coc.nvim, like vim-plug Plug 'neoclide/coc.nvim', {'branch': 'release'}
Build it yourself could takes some time.
Cobbi
@GeneralCorn
I have that line with Vundle, does it not work the same way?
Qiming zhao
@chemzqm
Vundle not maintained for years, it doesn't have branch support.
Cobbi
@GeneralCorn
ah
I'll try to switch then thanks!

Hello. I am using coc-tsserver and even though I have enabled resolveJsonModule in my tsconfig's compiler options, I am still seeing an error message from tsserver about `Cannot find module '../foo.json'. Consider using '--resolveJsonModule' to import module with '.json' extension.

Hi, I am trying to use coc-metals for my new scala proejct, but when I run metals.reset-choice and Build tool selection, it fails with above error. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Qiming zhao
@chemzqm
@tgkei seems you need check log of metals.

Hi everyone 👋, I've been using coc for quite a while now the error messages that I get on hovering over an error, always go over the screen edge and don't wrap at the end of a line.
I've tried setting the wrap option in neovim itself but that did not change the wrapping of the error messages. Is it possible to enable this somehow?
Qiming zhao
@chemzqm
@botand:matrix.org It's virtual text that can't wrap

Anybody use pyenv with coc? Stopped getting error messages at all a while ago, and I'm thinking it has something to do with it searching there for python packages...

LuisCC
@luisiacc
I think you have to install pynvim on the environment
Heyward Fann
@fannheyward
@hoffmanmc coc doesn't use Python or pynvim, you can ignore this error.
For pyenv, what extension or LS do you use? coc-pyright or coc-jedi?
Max Hoffman
@hoffmanmc
@fannheyward I am using coc-pyright
Heyward Fann
@fannheyward
@hoffmanmc coc-pyright will detect pyenv by .python-version or PYENV_VERSION
Francisco Lopes
@oblitum
@fannheyward: I'm checking whether this (https://github.com/fannheyward/coc-pyright/issues/67#issuecomment-670286861) is still needed for pyenv venvs. Seems then it's not after fannheyward/coc-pyright@77e02e0
in that commit it's looked up by .python-version file though, instead of $PYENV_VIRTUAL_ENV presence, though I suspect it ends up the same
Max Hoffman
@hoffmanmc
I see. I guess the real issue I am having then is just something is preventing my error messages from displaying, even after explicitly adding "diagnostic.checkCurrentLine": true to my coc-settings.json, and I just happen to be using python
Heyward Fann
@fannheyward
@oblitum yes, for most cases, you don't need to set pythonPath or venvPath any more. coc-pyright will try to detect python venvs and use it.
@hoffmanmc what's the output of :CocCommand workspace.showOutput Pyright?
Max Hoffman
@hoffmanmc
@fannheyward , well I fixed it just be reinstalling coc-nvim. I think something got messed up when I tried adjusting the text colors to make them more legible using my init.vim file. I don't think it preserved the logs from the previous times I ran it, so we may never know what caused it... thanks for your help though!

In https://github.com/neoclide/coc-yaml why formatter is disabled by default?
hibert
@wanghuibin0
does anyone know how to jump to the next function in current buffer, please?
James Pickard
@euoia
Hi all. I copied most of the script from https://github.com/neoclide/coc.nvim#example-vim-configuration and with JavaSctipt files using prettier, my status line now has ❌ 1 Prettier at the start - I assume because lua print(vim.api.nvim_eval("coc#status()")) evaluated to Prettier
is it intentional to show the linter that reported the error in the status line?
also, what part of my configuration controls where the errors / infos show? I sometimes see error info, but sometimes don't

James Pickard
@euoia
The diagnostic info is shown if I use the [g key map, but not if I hover on the line, for example

Is it possible to disable the warning/info sign for "Unused variable" in coc.nvim?
LuisCC
@luisiacc
is there a way to update diagnostic as I type instead of when I save the file?
Francisco Lopes
@oblitum
@luisiacc it's like that by default.
LuisCC
@luisiacc
I don't think so, however I found a config that is default to false that seems to do that: diagnostic.refreshInInsertMode
Francisco Lopes
@oblitum
luisiacc, it refreshes diagnostics on InsertLeave, etc, which provides less noisy experience than updating it on every character insert.
I mean, that's the default behavior.
refreshInInsertMode is to update it on every char change, people generally don't want that.

Hello. I'm beginning work on a coc plugin and I'm not quite sure how to get it to read from my fork that's on disk?
