[discord] <Bing² | serv.eth> If you're using environment variables to configure nethermind then you can do it like this:
NETHERMIND_HEALTHCHECKSCONFIG_ENABLED: true
NETHERMIND_HEALTHCHECKSCONFIG_UIENABLED: true
[discord] <Sevenz> ah nope, it's stuck when I do that
Gitter Bridge
@nethermind-bridge
[discord] <Sevenz> ah ok
[discord] <Sevenz> my concern is that is this normal behaviour?
[discord] <Bing² | serv.eth> Both your EL and CL must be synced. For Nethermind you can check at http://localhost:8545/healthchecks-ui once you've enabled the healthchecks module at launch.

[discord] <Sevenz> alright let me try it

[discord] <=C=> 1) That additional info screenshot from metrics shows my local timezone.
2) Correct, that screenshot with metrics shows the same time area in question and memory available is also shown on the graph. System has 32GB.
3) I don't have any RPC counters. Unless you are referring to beacon chain peers? Then no.

@nethermind-bridge
[discord] <=C=> Or are you after the RPC report from the same log file? I added it to the top section if that helps.

Can you share some logs from Your DappNode instance? And also what is a hardware spec for Your machine? Those messages are visible on restarts most of the times so seems like for some reason You node may be restarted over and over again - can You monitor Your RAM usagefor a while to see if You are not reaching 100%?

[discord] <OlegJakushkin> Dear @=C= :
Please correct me if I am wrong, but this is what I understood from your report:
1) you say that you had 32gb, yet sadly from that plot you have provided, we do not really see that it shall be 100% occupied - more like 40%?
2) In the logs you have provided, we get 2022-11-26 20:41:32.9025|Error during peer storage commit: System.OutOfMemoryException: Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown. on 41st minute, so if at least minute head is synchronised between logs and Graphana, in the period from 41min to 00 min (thus for 20 minutes), it will look like NM client was alive, while all other apps on that same server should have probably died each time they would try to allocate any memory (Am I correct - were other apps dying and are there any logs from those apps on that time frame)?
3) In your opinion, what shall be the desired behavior in the case of OutOfMemoryException - would it be better to kill the app instantly or keep trying to allocate resources?

[discord] <Sevenz> Its always at 100%
[discord] <Sevenz> Is that the reason?
[discord] <Sevenz> I set as 10gb
[discord] <kamil_chodola> @Sevenz You have 10GB of RAM on Your machine? Unfortunately it may be way to small amount.
[discord] <kamil_chodola> bare minumum is 16GB which also may be prioblematic - we recomend having 32+
[discord] <Sevenz> ahhhh
[discord] <Sevenz> alright, I guess I need to step up the RAM
[discord] <Sevenz> I have 4 more slots I havent used
[discord] <kamil_chodola> So that may be the root cause of Your behavior - You are receiving OOM exception and dappNode react and kills process
[discord] <Sevenz> will try your recommendation and let you know when I have upgraded the specs!
Gitter Bridge
@nethermind-bridge
[discord] <Sevenz> just by giving more RAM allocation, (to 12gb) the first 10 pages has a lot lesser missing attestation! I will definitely upgrade my server to get higher RAM
[discord] <Sevenz> thank you!

[discord] <Toff9> I have looked through the switches and sync modes for NM but I'm having trouble seeing a config that would limit a NM client to syncing from one local source. is it possible?
[discord] <La | serv.eth> Hi there, can you expound the setup that you want when you say one local source?

[discord] <Toff9> at the moment i have NM and prysm working well, but id like to have a second nm client with no internet access (the CL client is ok to checkpoint sync and use bandwidth. )

basically id like to have a kind of backup node to mess around with without having all the bandwidth usage as well.

[discord] <Toff9> im at about 10TB/m with all the other work, testing and screwing around
Gitter Bridge
@nethermind-bridge
[discord] <Toff9> wan<>primary EL/CL<>secondary EL/CL over 10gbe (with CL fine to checkpoint sync) if that makes sense
[discord] <Toff9> might not be possible and also could very well be a silly question so feel free to say that
[discord] <La | serv.eth> Thank you for expounding. Let's wait for the devs to give their insights on this one @rubo
[discord] <Toff9> im slightly limited on what i can do with vlans routing and ACLs internally here so i was looking for a cheaper way to do this lol
Gitter Bridge
@nethermind-bridge
[discord] <=C=> Ideal scenario would be to ascertain why nethermind failed with that error and caused missed attestations (3~4 missed attestations for all of my validators), even though the system has 32GB memory and only 20~GB is in use by nethermind and lighthouse along with the base dappnode software / apps.
[discord] <=C=> I am not an expert which is why I brought that error to your attention.

[discord] <OlegJakushkin> @=C= : Does your node have public IP and RPC or WS/HTTP API ports open publicly (accessible from the wild web)?

[discord] <=C=> RPC is not exposed, only access is via VPN via local.

[discord] <gbroadbent> I installed the latest Nethermind release on Ubuntu. apt show says "Version: 1.1470". However, if I run /usr/share/nethermind/Nethermind.Runner --version, I get "Version: 1.14.6+6aea7721
Commit: 6aea77214ac1d4b3d1ad16d39d41fa2ea40ea300
Build Date: 2022-11-21 17:01:18Z
OS: Linux x64
Runtime: .NET 6.0.11"
[discord] <gbroadbent> Is anybody else seeing this? /usr/share/nethermind/Nethermind.Runner has 174634331 bytes and its SHA-256 checksum is a7e02b3fc1f19b64e9f326cce3d66077b3eb1e23dde4070e1776625f0f5cc102.

[discord] <gbroadbent> I removed the package and re-installed it, ./Nethermind.Runner --version gives the right version, and it runs. Not sure why you are getting that error -- it does sound corrupted.
[discord] <Pierrick> Nevermind, I was running the arm64 version instead of the other one
