Whay hay, Not been in a chat room for years! Thanks Ben

no worries John :)
Quite a few projects seem to be using gitter for discussing projects so I thought I'd give it a whirl :)
Thinking about doing a tech catch-up next tuesday eve, but will confirm later
If you're about today, and want to drop by, drop me a line

I am using code from angular-strap ( http://mgcrea.github.io/angular-strap/# ). to provide header magic. This avoids using bootstrap javascript and is written to provide angular directives.

sounds like the right way to go to me :)

just pushed up a working version of ghost, you need to have the admin role to be able to see the admin screens for it though
screens to add roles to users would be helpful right now :)

On another subject, Ben, just walked past your house delivering election leaflets. Good luck tomorrow! Vote early

Ben, is it possible to ask the others ( pom and dip ) to make pill requests for their work on the nxfc website, so I can see what they are doing. I can see all the work you are doing because you update the master branch regularly. I think we could learn from each other and avoid duplication. For example I am working on making the site accessible to screen readers at the moment, but I have no idea if this is being duplicated.

Hey guys I've not had much time to work on the code as I just started a new job. :( So unfortunately no pull requests from me

Thanks dip. Good luck with new job.

sorry, just found this tab merrily receiving messages and stopping me from getting updates on my phone :)
@dipthegeezer Rem told me that you got a new job, meant to drop you a line, congrats! :)

@johnwalkervinest screen reader stuff sounds interesting, I think it's important for us that this is accessible, I'd be interested to find out what you learn. Something that might be related... because this is a "single page app" SEO can be a problem so we'll need to use something to convert views into static html (which may be better for screen readers too) like this: https://www.npmjs.com/package/mean-seo
I've also pushed up some user management facilites, but I seem to have broken ghost authentication :(
will be on this again tomorrow

Hi Ben,

Hi Ben, We have both done a lot of work on the website. I want to put more time into developing the cooperative. There are already 2 cooperatives in New Cross. We can concentrate on the wholefood delivery side. Not keen on being part of 170 as they are not a coop. On their website they say that they use volunteers and they pay in time credits, which are not a viable wage. Other coop is registered as a company, but not sure if they are active. We would need a constitution and membership process. We can operate as London wide group. Logistically no reason why need to be local.

Hey John, I think it's best to come along to the next open meeting about that one. I can tell you the state of play roughly right now: EatARainbow is part of 170 and is not a coop, NewCrossFoodCoop is not yet incorporated but a constitution has been written (it's a boilerplate CIC large membership one, I have a hard copy), it's not yet incorporated. EatARainbow and NewCrossFoodCoop will share membership although members will only have voting rights in the actual coop (NewCrossFoodCoop). EatARainbow does have one member of staff (Minnie), NewCrossFoodCoop is intended to be a consumer coop, it may (will probably) have paid staff at some point to do some of the co-ordination work, but most of the operational work is intended to come from members
There's 2 things I'd like to get done in the near future:
Ben Simpson
@bsimpson53
1) some sort of terms and conditions page that a user can accept or reject (membership is intended to be free)
2) some sort of email confirmation flow
(thinking about stealing the code from ghost for that)
