Hey everybody, yesterday I found nextflow-io and started using it right away for implementing a simple bioinformatics workflow. It's really nice to have a polyglot workflow engine with compute cluster support :smile: Is this the right place to ask technical questions or discuss problems?

Hi @lukasjelonek, happy to hear that.
The best place for questions and discuss problems is the nextflow google group
Looking forward to reading about that

@pditommaso is it possible to 're-attach' a backgrounded nextflow process?

@andrewcstewart um, i fear no.
At the end it's detached with disown
AFAIK there's no way to do that

@pditommaso The parent session that launched the process can't disconnect?

I keep losing my ssh sessions in AWS
normally Id just run tmux or screen so I can safely detach and reattach my session
was wondering if nextflow -bg would do that for me
Paolo Di Tommaso
@pditommaso
Mar 18 2015 21:41
um, with -bg you can logoff safely
the process keep running
so when you ssh again you should find it there

gotcha
so my pipeline must have died from an error
not from logging off
