    installed the new beta on a stand alone cloud server on godaddy (http://cloud.godaddy.com). Digital Ocean like service. Did this on previous beta's connecting to mongodb lab with no issues. New beta is giving me a strange Profile page and asking to authenticate with API Secret. I enter the secret and it tells me Wrong secret. Any ideas?
    is this the right place to post a question like this?
    thomcost
    @thomcost
    I am using the same API Secret that I use in heroku for my main Nightscout deploy (non-beta). Or do I need a different API Secret?

    What env vars do you have set? What does /api/v1/status.json show?

    I think I need to do a bit more reading/research. I skipped a release and some things must have changed. Previously when running on my own server for testing, I didn't set the ENV vars - I just didn't get the care portal. I will work on learning about setting the env vars and get back to you. I am at least connecting to mongodb because I am getting the current bg.
    forcing me to fix my own bugs helps me learn....but any pointers would be great. Sounds like I need to go down the env vars path. :)

    @thomcost
    Need to add something like this MONGO_CONNECTION=mongodb://user:pass@127.0.0.1/db
    API_SECRET=some12characterspass
    PORT=8080
    CUSTOM_TITLE=YourT1DsName
    THEME=colors
    SHOW_RAWBG=always
    SHOW_PLUGINS=iob,cob,cage,basal,bwp,careportal
    LANGUAGE=ro
    TIME_FORMAT=24
    BASAL_RENDER=default

    @jasoncalabrese
    The only env var you need is for mongo, nothing really changed between beta releases that would effect this
    Maybe something changed with the way you set the vars there

    Hello, cage plugin displays time since last treatment entry of "canula change" entered manualy. is there an option (already-made code) to automate this thing (to measure time since last prime entru got from pump)? Thank you.
    ...same for sensor change from calibratino cgm records...
    Jason Calabrese
    @jasoncalabrese
    there isn't now since the the way everyone primes is different, doesn't always indicate a cannula change
    we should be able to get sensor starts, but I don't think anything is uploading them yet
    Alin Artiom Kenibasov
    @ktomy
    aha, thank you. another question - pink dots are from ar2 too? or is it another plugin?
    or it is openaps plugin... an exteension of it...?
    Jason Calabrese
    @jasoncalabrese
    the purple lines are coming from oref0 advanced-meal-assist
    the forecasts are included in the device status and NS renders them
    Alin Artiom Kenibasov
    @ktomy
    aha, so I only need to enable advanced-meal-assist, no new plugins on ns part. Thank you.
    Jason Calabrese
    @jasoncalabrese
    right, there is a toggle in NS and a new setting to turn it on by default
    the toggle is in the new ...'s next to the 3/6/12/24 selectors
    I'm thinking we'll add more view toggles there
    Alin Artiom Kenibasov
    @ktomy
    for me it is only "show ar2 forecase", which enables/disabled blue forcase. as I understand, when I'll have data from meal assist, it will also enable/disable pink dots. Thank you.
    Jason Calabrese
    @jasoncalabrese
    yes
    it's setup in a generic way so that we can have other plugins add forecasts
    they'd just need to return an array of points

    I cloned the g5-beta branch so I could play with the default slopes - because I was always hitting the default slope on my current sensor. I can build ok, and the app runs, but I can't import settings or a saved database - and the app will crash with "xDrip has stopped" under some very specific, repeatable, circumstances. Is there anyone in here who could discuss this with me, maybe on a private channel, and help me figure out what I am doing wrong? -- thanks in advance.
    Jason Calabrese
    @jasoncalabrese
    the channel was setup for Nightscout betas but isn't used often, the xdrip g5 uses some private Facebook group I think
    TecMunky
    @TecMunky
    I am part of that group. I was told to ask my questions here. so much for that idea
    Jason Calabrese
    @jasoncalabrese
    that project isn't open, not part of Nightscout
    maybe it will get folded into xdrip and become open later
    AdrianLxM
    @AdrianLxM
    @TecMunky, for the general compile/import db/... questions this is the group: https://gitter.im/nightscout/dexdrip

    Hey folks, having an issue building the .apk

    **A problem occurred evaluating project ':app'.

    Failed to apply plugin [id 'com.android.application']
    Gradle version 2.2 is required. Current version is 2.10. If using the gradle wrapper, try editing the distributionUrl in /home/scott/scratch/xDrip-Experimental/gradle/wrapper/gradle-wrapper.properties to gradle-2.2-all.zip
    **

    I made the change it requested.

    Hi, I am curious as to what might be the best forum to ask if this great community might be interested in additional data points. Most importantly my question concerns the measurement of insulin etc from capillary blood with on-demand testing. (Non-continuous).
    th122
    @th122
    @allomorphy_gitlab is there a means for self-measurement of this? afaik, even ketones aren’t integrated into the algorithm, even though there are blood-ketone sticks and measuring devices easily available. so for the time being, I’d assume it’s more something to integrate into documentation, so that data could be used in retrospective when re-evaluating data for studies? In that case I’d talk to Tidepool, and OpenHumans to find a way to get that data stored alongside the cgm and other data points. For nightscout, nightscout/oref0 would be a more active place.
    To me it would be definitely interesting, especially since it would allow for evaluation of the insulin action models used.
