The next pebble release is getting very close nightscout/cgm-pebble#16
Kate and Christine (@ELUTE / @YYGIRL) did most of the work, huge improvements

If you have time and don't mind using CloudPebble you can import the wip/ui-refresh branch instead of master

I'll do the wip/ui-refresh build now... anything particular you want me to tinker with?

From @ELUTE / @YYGIRL:

  • Implemented UI design from Kate F
  • New battery indicator from Jon M
  • Bigger fonts in general, especially for time
  • New special value icons instead of special value numbers (??? instead of "10")
  • Switched black and white backgrounds, to improve readability
  • New space for T1D name
  • Made JS faster based on inputs from John C and Christine D, to help with reliability and refresh problems
  • Time and date are from system, so always up to date and watch can function like a watch
  • More descriptive error messages
  • Commented code in much greater detail
  • Will publish FAQ to quickly identify problems and address faster

Also:

  • The time will now update independently of the network
  • When we can't read data a clear message is displayed and the trend arrow and BG are removed

running the build and deploy now. I'll have to wait another hour or so until my dex comes up (we do the new sensor swap Saturday nights)...

dex started up. cgm-pebble up and running. Can confirm already... new UI, fonts, background black/white, T1D name, faster JS, time/date. Scratching my head on battery indicator... will need to look into that... can't see anything on watchface.
can also confirm clear message "WATCH OFFLINE"

Thanks, Jason for the invite. We are on a sensor restart and will test later tonight!

I've got in running on 1 Pebble now. T1D daughter leaves for Camp Kudzu tomorrow, so only get to test for next 12 hours or so. Looks good. Fonts are similar to what I did with my own. Like the name option. When I deployed via the PBW on the iPhone, it still was working, but in the settings they were all blank. Still pulling values. When I updated the custom name, it then stopped connecting to collection. Entered the URL and was back and connected. Looks great! Could see the benefit of the name for multiple T1 families.
Where would I see the battery indicator? (is that the Pebble battery I would assume?)

The battery indicator is the one element I haven't been able to find yet either.

Maybe it appears when at a certain percentage of life left?

Thanks for the invitation! I just installed it. I like the new fonts and the night scout logo. I don't see the battery indicator - I didn't do the last update since I use safari and I hear that there are still a few issues? Maybe that is why there isn't a battery indicator? It looks great though!!
I just charged my pebble so I know my battery is full right now

The CGM.c shows quite a bit of code for batticon. Maybe needs some tweaking yet.

I just took my DROID MAXX off of wireless charger to see if by chance, it's referring to the uploader battery. Will need to give it some time to see if that's it (it's 100% right now)

Found in the js - REM'd out currently - // battery not included in response yet, so have to send no battery for now
// once battery is included, uncomment out line and erase "111" line
//var currentBattery = response[0].battery;
var currentBattery = "111";

The battery support is built into this version of the pebble app, but hasn't been merged into the master branches if the other repos

So, it looks like will be telling what the uploader battery is. Great stuff.

@pgdrews, still we should adjust that line so that when the battery is sent by the endpoint the pebble is ready. I'll do that tonight

Well, heading to bed. Will see if any bugs by tomorrow when daughter leaves for camp. Then we'll be offline for a week. :0( I should really put myself in her shoes, and wear the CGM for a week. Maybe...will see.
Wish Camp Kudzu allowed CGMs.

Hmmm. I have an hourglass on the pebble where BG should be. Nightscout seems fine on my phone and receiver shows a value.
Hourglass is upper right corner.
Oops - I see that the message showing change in BG is back to mg/dL. Is there an option for mmol/l?
Bg isn't there, just change, time since last reading, time and date

Now I have three question marks. Receiver seems to be reading fine.

Think I fixed the 266 bug, you'll need to pull the latest commit into CloudPebble
