There's a pretty big perf issue
Seeing the "aw snap" message with a crashed tab more
Think detecting when the page is hidden and not trying to draw might help
Any help tracking it down would be great

@jasoncalabrese wonder if that's chrome specific? Haven't seen a problem on safari, including on iOS, where ram is much more constrained

I've tried using the chrome profiler, but probably not looking on the right place
The other thing that bugs me is when you use the care portal on a phone by giving focus to an input in resizes the whole layout

That might be an android only issue

@sulkaharo nightscout/cgm-remote-monitor#510 seems to help for me

@jasoncalabrese Ah, I think Safari has pretty aggressive optimisations for views that are not being shown, to conserve energy. Care Portal seems to work as it used to on iOS, so if the behaviour has changed, then that's Android only as well.
The only annoyance on iOS is, if I tilt the phone / iPad so the view rotates from vertical to horizontal, the IVG balls are only rendered to the width of the vertical layout, so last 1.5 hours or so are missing. Reloading the page on horizontal mode usually works, but does sometimes have the same issue. Spent a couple hours with a DOM debugger trying to figure out what's going on and failed. :)

had a tab open in the background all night, updated instantly when switch to this morning, merged nightscout/cgm-remote-monitor#510 along with nightscout/cgm-remote-monitor#506 and nightscout/cgm-remote-monitor#504

@sulkaharo I've seen the same rendering issues on iOS. Sometimes switching from landscape to portrait and back will get it to refresh properly.

That has improved a lot for me now that I just have the drawers open on top of the chart instead of trying to move the chart
only issue I'm having now is that the media queries kick in when the soft keyboard is opened

I think that might be an Android only
issue like
you mentioned

pushed some patches to include using forever.js with Procfile
I use it with dokku https://github.com/progrium/dokku on digital ocean
also prevent pebble from crashing
if someone uses plain old defaults it was crashing because env.enable was null-ish

yeah, we don't test the vanilla case much, thats what we missed on the last release

NICE
I knew he was working on it
wondering if I should work on medtronic support
I really want medtronic's numbers copied into NS
I can't be bothered to do the data entry
has anyone seen this though http://onedrop.today/
they use pie menus and the camera to do easy data entry
you arc with your thumb over the pie menu, really elegant design
also you can just take a picture of your meal
pic + pie menu, boom done

Maybe we can come up with a way to point people in the right direction based on what they want and background

A decision flow chart might be good too. Starting with whether they want raw. If yes, NS uploader. If no, Android or IOS uploader? If Apple, then Share2 and Sidecar for NS and Pebble. Etc.
Or check the boxes on ehat
you want and then see your recommendation.
