Is there a tool by Tidepool that parses medtronic CareLink data and Dexcom CGM data together and formats it into a Medtronic CareLink CSV that can be imported?
I want the outcome to be in CareLink CSV format.

I'd suggest recording with a close/sensitive mic to get good, accurate evidence of timing. Rather quicker just to look for clicks on the annotated waveform in audacity or the like...

@kenstack Thanks to Monica, I have a CareLink to play with again (broke the last one trying to enhance the antenna!). On my 522, strokes must be set to 10 to deliver a full bolus. If the strokes is set lower, the pump will not deliver if not in a .1U increment.

@TC2013 thank you !!! I'll try to do some testing myself on boluses with 722. @bustsvo are you setting the strokes or using the 515 option ? I think the 515 defaults to 15 if you look at the output of mm-bolus.py
@diabeticgonewild I bet he is ! Thanks for loaning him the stick !!

Of course! No big deal at all!

--515 is identical to --strokes 10 or whatever
for 522, I use --515, should probably make proper option
for 722, it's worth testing it and seeing if the amount matches

@bewest Do you have the paradigmPAL software?
Ben West
@bewest
Mar 25 2015 20:53
sort of, I have a decompiled version of it
that's how I know about setting clock, setting schedules

I just bought an old Medtronic ParadigmLINK meter (already had one) because it came in the box. I was hoping it would have the software, but it didn't.

:(
Does anyone have the ParadigmPAL software?
Ben West
@bewest
Mar 25 2015 20:58
yeah
but I don't think it runs
Ben West
@bewest
Mar 25 2015 21:14
I would be very surprised if you could run it
Toby Canning
@TC2013
Mar 25 2015 21:15
So, you are saying that the software in general doesn't run, or your decompiled version doesn't run?
Ben West
@bewest
Mar 25 2015 21:16
the computer you are running today is different from the one paradigmpal was designed to run on
I think paradigmpal was designed for windows 95, or 98 or something
Toby Canning
@TC2013
Mar 25 2015 21:17
I still have the software for 95 and 98... and ME and XP and so on
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
Mar 25 2015 21:19
Yeah it doesn't run on anything past XP
due to drivers...
I could figure it out regardless...used to work as a computer repair technician...2.5 years experience.

you can describe what you want to do, the things missing from decocare, by hitting "new issue" button on the right https://github.com/bewest/decoding-carelink/issues
"way to program schedules" would be nifty request

I like to create as rich a paper trail as possible like this in public
it helps when other people come along and see that there is a little community really using it

no apologies necessary, seriously
If our programmer worked more than 8 hours a week, I'd have something to give back to you by now... LOL!
He is making progress. I had him talk everything out of NS and write in python. He now has the program doing 90% of what it needs to.
A couple more small fixes and we will start porting it into xDrip.

Once Steve finishes the BLE/CC1111 stuff, everything should run right from the phone.

@kenstack In the paradigmPAL sofware it has for the 712:
static final double STROKES_PER_BASAL_UNIT = 40.0;
static final double STROKES_PER_BOLUS_UNIT = 10.0;
kenstack
@kenstack
Mar 25 2015 22:12
Cool you the man !!
So it looks like the default stroke numbers are the same for 5's and 712 and likely 722 as well. Will still test at some point
If you see anything related to enabling remote commands for the newer pumps in there im very intersted :)
Toby Canning
@TC2013
Mar 25 2015 22:14
Indeed
Ben West
@bewest
Mar 25 2015 22:22
yeah, we need a nice table/matrix highlighting all these differences
very likely 722 as well
if so, it's a very very easy patch to add --722 and --522 switches
so everyone can feel good about their model
