oooooo we now have pretty docs: http://decocare.readthedocs.org/en/latest/
I realized that install bug that @scottleibrand found earlier fixes the docs generation also

just made it automatic
any file in the doc subdirectory gets built as part of documentation on every commit now

Wow that's super awesome!
I got Linux plus the SSH server on my Pi 2
Didn't jack that up

My joints hurt but I don't feel as crappy right now...just thought I would put that out there

@bewest I'm more legitimate to you now! woohoo!

So you guys Wi-Pi (the "official" wifi USB dongle for raspberry pi) is a piece of junk. It broke inside the USB port in the Pi and I had to get part of it out with needle nose pliers http://imgur.com/qza6fvJ

I have a USB wifi dongle (regular) works
On the pi
But the dude helping me out is taking a break for the night and I don't want to tag him right now to give him credit as he is probably resting
I need to get a lower profile dongle tomorrow
My hands naturally shake so the photo is kind of blurry but you can see what happened
junk.jpg
Just so everyone can see $13 plus tax down the drain

This actually might be useful for the CareLink USB adapter, because it is so huge! http://www.adafruit.com/products/974

@danamlewis, @esteward started wiki: https://github.com/openaps/openaps/wiki/GettingStarted

Nice!
So looking at my project I can tell I have some housekeeping to do....
Like my write up...I am going to put that all in GitHub which I think I can effectively using MathType which was worth getting for being an online engineering student and doing a bunch of math stuff in general...
That's how you put equations in GitHub
Ben West
@bewest
May 05 2015 06:26
I've seen several open source things to do that
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 06:27
Like I want to do the next part of my project but like you guys don't know how stressful it is for me. Like I get so carried away with numbers and I feel relatively crappy so it would be extremely stressful right now doe me
Not in GitHub
I know LaTeX
Ben West
@bewest
May 05 2015 06:27
ah, cool, I made a special wercker box to build things for github
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 06:27
And MathJax is an extension of both LateX and MathML
this box lets you run "continous builds" off of github that need math formatting with latex
maybe
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 06:28
Nice!
LOL
There's nothing clean for mathematical equations for GitHub really...except some LateX and that MathType option
Even MS Word doesn't support LateX (it sucks!)
Or MathML
Like for my work I intend on starting off with an #OpenAPS and using that
Then building on top of it...and when my stuff can't be accessed remotely it reverts back to #OpenAPS
If #OpenAPS for some reason fails then it's pump only
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 06:35
But I want to work on my stuff and I am getting more into that mode where I can crunch things so I will be back to working on #VirtualPancreas soon as long as I don't get really sick unexpectedly...but I kind of want to get chemo out of the way and live my life a little bit before going wild on my project again
But documentation I can do without a bunch of hassle
Like tomorrow I am getting an IV iron infusion and next Monday I am doing the same plus intravenous immunoglobulin and physical therapy...yay to never really feeling well
Ben West
@bewest
May 05 2015 06:37
yeah, :$
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 06:52
I had to abandon my old repo to call it a #VirtualPancreas ... I don't know GitHub markdown that well but the start of it is here https://github.com/diabeticgonewild/VirtualPancreas/blob/master/README.md
Ben West
@bewest
May 05 2015 06:53
github markdown is same as here and stackoverflow and lot of places
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 06:54
yeah, so I need to get a cheat sheet or something, which I can find on my own...
Ben West
@bewest
May 05 2015 06:54
there's a good one on the issues pages
I think on most of those pages if you press 'm' it brings up cheatsheet
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 06:54
I will make sure to mark my old repo as obselete sorry blood sugar is low
Ben West
@bewest
May 05 2015 06:54
but the editor for comments has a nice help tooltip thingy
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 06:54

cool
Ben West
@bewest
May 05 2015 06:55
along with preview tab, I usually scribble things there for quick preview
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 06:55
yeah I found it already :D
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 07:30
actually kind of dumb but what would you expect when my blood sugar has been low all night but I should have been drafting all of this out in a gist
of course it needs an index too
it's already a mess...
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 07:38
but I explained how the first part of my project, which is definitely the hardest, is solved for... not in that link but in the paper I am putting up into GitHub
I mean I am still (kind of) new to GitHub for the most part, from a technical standpoint..I am getting used to it though but I am "playing around with it"
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 07:56
what beegit costs money!? forget that
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 08:02
nvm free for individuals...but still sucks in that respect
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 08:08
actually dumb I don't need gist...just use beegit...but I can't "publish" without paying which sucks...and it's expen$ive so not worth it!
I guess PanDoc is the option for LaTeX + Markdown
Ben West
@bewest
May 05 2015 08:11
I love pandoc
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 08:12
yeah
I have to display LaTeX
Ben West
@bewest
May 05 2015 08:13
pandoc is a good templating engine for latex
https://github.com/nightscout/tr-templates uses pandoc + that wercker box I showed you earlier to make github pages
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 08:14
Thank you so much!
This is what I am trying to put in my README
Hovorka Mathematical Modeling.pdf
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 08:15
I noticed that there are some minor errors (like not all variables defined, etc.)
Awesome!
Ben West
@bewest
May 05 2015 08:15
I would leave numbering to the typesetting/engraving system
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 08:15
yeah
I know in the paper modelling is spelled two different ways....US vs. American...gotta fix that too
Ben West
@bewest
May 05 2015 08:16
what I did in process controls is each "file" is a "section"
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 08:16
Will do
Ben West
@bewest
May 05 2015 08:17
in sphinx, it will automatically use title of each file/section and number them for you in TOC
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 08:17
very nice!
Ben West
@bewest
May 05 2015 08:17
pandoc/latex does similar
I mean latex is driving numbering in both situations
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 08:17
yeah, that will be nice!
yeah
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 08:35
going to go to bed...have a long day tomorrow...

Getting IV iron infusion. I am happy cause they have diet coke...LOL. Unfortunately this unit is in the main building of the hospital which smells. I'm not admitted or anything but usually being put in the main building versus the cardiology or neuro buildings means being put through the wringer...
Been there done that seemingly 1000x for being admitted. Anything other than main building means a chill hospital stay
I have done it too many times

See what I look like with my port accessed...not that good of a photo...squinting plus broke out in acne at age 25! http://m.imgur.com/Sb5mAGa

Reason enough to add accessibility features to mobile apps that I work on.
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
May 05 2015 23:59
Dude I sometimes use accessibility features...like I use Voice Dream Reader on iOS with Bookshare and I get like the NYT, the economist, Wall Street journal, the local newspaper, plus 300,000 books for $40 a year cause My diseases mess with my eyes
