@StephenBlackWasAlreadyTaken my 9-month-old daughter has figured out how to swipe notifications away. She also learned that she can turn my Mac off to get my attention.
does anyone have any recommendations on doing a remote USB host? I'd like real-time data off my t:slim

So I think I am actually starting to feel better, after getting an infusion for immunosuppression. I have 3 more to go, so we will see what happens from it. I don't think I am feeling better cause its my birthday either...
Also just saw your comment on the pull request @jasoncalabrese . Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
I can make the equations for the other pumps if you want, with the normalizations, so you can basically do the same with what I did with the MM 530G.
But I may need to modify it in the future, as @mgranberry suggested to use piecewise hermite polynomials to fit it as it's monotonic and the derivative would always be "in the right direction" (with respect to positive or negative values), so that we could "go wild" with the derivative and stuff...

Also I intend on making a + and - 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% curve as that's what the error in IOB is supposed to be.
IDK don't look back

Hey @ps2 , Im just adding uart and having it split up and build up packets for a uart ble module to pass along
I forgot I changed some of the uart stuff I wrote
and remapped to alt2
but never moved my wires
sooooo.... uart stopped working
and I spent a good several hours trying to figgure out why :-D
Pete Schwamb
@ps2
May 28 2015 00:51
so switching from spi to uart?
Emma Black
@StephenBlackWasAlreadyTaken
May 28 2015 00:52
yeah and rather than taking commands kind of just act as a message bus, just hand things from one device to the other
Pete Schwamb
@ps2
May 28 2015 00:52
or designing a new board with a different ble module?
Emma Black
@StephenBlackWasAlreadyTaken
May 28 2015 00:52
different ble module and a regular cc1111 board
and maybe other boards as well like the chronos one
Pete Schwamb
@ps2

but we will see how far I get
soon I have to switch gears to get ready for the ddata conference thing
is anyone here going to that?

@diabeticgonewild think it will be easier after we get further along with the current plugin refactoring, @sulkaharo already added special medtronic rounding, but we need to make it more plugable

@bewest yeah I think it's a different Gil :)
@bewest Im guessing the Asante asset buyer won't be announced for a while, if ever. Depends on if the buyer is trying to keep it off the market or plans on using it. I'll talk to the wind down guys more in the am

Just catching up now that I have Internet back :) ...did I see someone or multiple folks had an android uploader version working for Carelink?! :) @jasoncalabrese or ? Any updates?

Question for anyone working on CC111x firmware: have you had any luck with using DMA to receive packets? I've got it working for transmit, but the null-terminated variable-length format isn't a good match for the DMA mechanism AFAICT.
(Medtronic packet format, in case it wasn't clear.)

@ecc1 I gave it a try early on but gave up fairly quickly. It may very well still be possible.

Hi guys, I am trying to get the decoding-carelink running. I have the stick pluged in and it is registered, as Linux (Ubuntu 14.04) says:
[207611.985252] usb 6-2: generic converter now attached to ttyUSB0

I am using a Paradigm Minimed Veo (754) from Carelink, how do I ensure that RF is enabled. Furthermore, do I need to pass the serial number to the library as in the CareLink software (which doesn't run on Linux, grmb) or isn't this necessary.

My name is Fokko and I am working on my masters degree in computing science. Last week I got a CGM and I would like to see if I could do some with the data produced by the CGM.

Yeah I'm pretty sure you need to register the device in OpenAPS/decoding-carelink
Like put in the serial number

May 28 2015 19:28
I think access on the pump is allowed automatically on the 754
Ben West
@bewest
May 28 2015 19:28
@Fokko you can set the serial number of your pump in an evironment variable
my serial is 665455 so I do: export SERIAL=665455
now the mm-latest.py and other tools can read the pump
Fokko Driesprong
@Fokko
May 28 2015 19:34
Allright, thanks guys. I will give it a try. I believe it is also always on on the 754, as I do not need to explicitly enable it when using CareLink.

I don't think it matters
there's an RF command to turn it on ;-)

that byte before a7 is still driving me crazy
I fed my hexdumps into a quick python program....
only the "sending" packets, with the a7 and the entire packet
loaded it into python, tried searching for any sequence from the forward or back which would match the crc
only junk finds because it's a weak checksum
Ben West
@bewest
May 28 2015 22:13
it must be a bit mask or something
oy
Ben West
@bewest
May 28 2015 22:24
I tried crc'ing every byte from back to front in both directions, highlighting ones that match, for the byte before the A7
no good matches :-(
