@ianjorgensen we don't need to RE the asante pump...
bigfoot now owns it, they have everything
they will add wireless (which is what I would do)
it was critical mistake for asante to not ship wireless
@TC2013 I have 2 cc1111 eval kits plus the chronos watch with a cc1111 in it
I'd be excited to make it work with either @jberian's stuff or @ps2's stuff... very excited
I really want to team up with bigfoot though

The Dana R user manual says use of any but their battery will void the warranty, but there are a lot of 3.6V lithium cells available ... I would love to get my hands on one of these pumps.

@bewest I'd love to try both! Have you been in touch with Jesus lately? Are they getting close to a release?

@ecc1 legally the battery would have to have caused the problem for them to void the warranty. They are one of the few places where the written document matters less than laws

@ecc1 this is Not a normal battery 3,6V Lithium !!! I had the Dana-R in my hands, the +/- pol contacts all together on front side , not as normal battery on front and end. Please look at the pics. The battery cover had no contacts, the contacts only inside the pump.
I will make today same better pics of the pump and post it here.

The battery problem is most post mistake of the Dana-R pump in german user forums. The battery is only get from distributor IME-DC in germany. Many of his batterys has not 100% charge. Today the distributor change on warranty all bad batterys, but the shipping is annoying time.

By the way - I found some other bad points of the Dana-R. The swiss micro dc makes at working a very high frequency noise. The pump works in 4 minutes steps, if I want to go sleep I hear this annoying noise.

@holgi13 fascinating reports, thank you
keep up the good work
if battery is a weak point, that means we have an opportunity to help them
we will always attack/help with the weakest portion

Hi All, I have created a survey monkey form to collect orders for the RileyLink. If we have enough interest (minimum of 40 units), we can purchase the RileyLinks assembled for approximately $75/unit (parts, assembly, shipping). Please fill out this survey monkey if you are interested: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QCXWRHM
For more information about the RileyLink, go to: https://github.com/ps2/rileylink

Yes i love Edison
Ben West

Jun 05 2015 20:18
was thinking as an intermediary step to optimize it, we can have edison power down into "embedded" mode
and only use linux while we're tinkering/debugging

these are $75 each? makes me wonder why the minimed connect is $199!
it's like we're getting a 2 for 1 deal, except it's even better!
also we need to make sure people understand that the $199 device won't support things that we already have

K just wanted to be sure I was clear on naming right thing. Just saw one at #ddata15 in someone's pocket as a demo unit with dummy data. Looks like a key fob that will fit on your key ring.

Sick today for like the 4th day in a row. Had an infusion of rituximab and they gave me extra fluids and I still feel lousy. Even took nausea meds and opium but I do feel slightly better. :(
I think I will order 2 rileylinks but I will put up an order when I am feeling better :(
Ben West

that sucks, hope you feel better
it's more of an intention form than an order form, I think... eg, no money, just your name and number so we have rough idea if we can make the minimum order
