FYI, we have 19 RileyLinks reserved so far. Let your friends know that Ben will send an autographed picture of himself to everyone who makes a reservation! https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QCXWRHM

@diabeticgonewild you're going very low very often. Let's figure out a plan to reduce that a little. I guess you're not on a CGM most of the time?

I am sometimes. I have hypoglycemia unawareness and severe gastroparesis from autoimmune autonomic ganlionopathy 😞
Slept through my alarms too. Had a crappy night http://m.imgur.com/X6303HL

Here are my pump stats if you want to take a look http://m.imgur.com/YvNHdhI,CQhdSIK,Gale88W
And my joints hurt FML. Going back to bed...
  • ganglionopathy
Also I never use bolus wizard so a lot of those stats don't apply

@diabeticgonewild Hi do you use waved bolus. I figured aout espacialy when my son is not in a good mood. That his carb absortion is slow. Then i often use waves. For example always in the evening. Or yesterday we had a long birthday celabration lunch. There was also waving very nice.
@BEWEST -> Question the rileylink works also for EU Medtronic pumps ? (868MHZ)

Not really. I could try
I just ingested some opium...yummy (not really!) for my gastrointestinal problems. Always fun and something with me.

@jasoncalabrese @bewest @jwedding Would there be any funds for NS to purchase some of these devices up front and then could be given to donators later as we develop capabilities to pull information from Medtronic Pumps and display it in Nightscout? We should be able to display the following in Nightscout without too much development time: IOB, Bolus Events, Battery LIfe, and Reservoir Units. With a little extra work (I have most of this done): temp basal history, COB, and the current basal rate.

@TC2013 Are there model-based limitations on what can be done with the RileyLink (x15 vs x22 vs x23, etc)? I'm assuming that, since it's essentially bridging frequencies, the limitations are the same as what is currently understood with decoding-carelink?
Toby Canning
@TC2013
Jun 07 2015 15:52
You should be able to pull information fine from x08, x11, x22, x23, and 530G pumps. Actually controlling insulin delivery will be limited to certain pumps just like decoding-carelink.
I forgot the x15 :) and 554

Re: the discussion about RileyLink antennas for 915 vs 868 MHz bands. I just realized that I've been experimenting for weeks now with the Ciseco SRF-Stick which is a UK product and made for the 868 MHz band (at least it has a checkbox on its PCB with that band checked). But I've been using it on 915 with no problems, and getting at least 6 ft or so of range. So I wonder if this will really be an issue.
Toby Canning
@TC2013
Jun 07 2015 15:54
We are going to try to use the optimized antenna for each RF frequency
Not sure one antenna will actually perform any better than the other though!

@TC2013 Yes. Can you put together a list and a -brief- write up of the purpose? (Like a paragraph.) this is exactly why we put the Foundation together.
And include how much we are talking about?
I'm on board, but I do defer to the tech committee (Jason, Ben, John,) on these things.
Toby Canning

@jwedding Excellent! I will try to do a fairly thorough write up by tomorrow.

@ecc1 Yes, the antennas are somewhat interchangeable, but using the wrong one will affect distance negatively.

Hey another question - @TC2013 will RileyLink hardware do continuous listening that'd allow for getting Enlite / glucometer information in real time?
Toby Canning
@TC2013
Jun 07 2015 17:25
@sulkaharo yes
I'm pretty sure the app I'm developing will have the ability to replace the mmcommander uploader all together as well... no promises though

I like the idea of the foundation prepaying for some of the RileyLink dev devices, since it wouldn't come with any software it seem like it would be ok
if we were going to do a kickstarter, these would make great prizes

Maybe i can get one of the new roche insight pump to give try on reverse engineer bt.
It looks alike that everything of the dana can be set threw the bt. So it is possible to controll the pump from a handy. Dana provites an apk for android.
