When I hear blue angels, my first thought is not the jets that fly :p

@beached As in the alternate meaning being drug slang for depressants (had to google that)?

So with all this flying and tromping around with limited connectivity, I had another idea: OpenAPS should have an "offline mode", where if it is unable to (or not configured to) upload the results of what it's doing, and there is currently no temp basal set, it sets a temp for 30m at the current normal basal rate just to provide an easy visual display on the pump that it's working...
i wonder if there's a better way, maybe using BLE or an e-paper display, that wouldn't be too difficult?
something that doesn't require constant pairing (in my current case, with wifi)...

@scottleibrand I linked a Raspberry API compatible eink awhile back but adafruit had some display https://www.adafruit.com/products/2441
I can't find it as I am on the go right now and I need an actual computer to search for the link.
I think you can use BLE too. Might be good for Pebble too.

@scottleibrand Not the full openaps, but this is what I am working on with the ti-ez430 watch. At least I will have glucose without dancing to grab my pump when running

Yeah, we can see BG, but reliably seeing what OpenAPS is up to is a lot harder. LMK if any of you manage to come up with a workable solution.

Yeah, I am slow with the cute litte ones running around the house. I get a few minutes after they go to bed

You can do bluetooth network access point via post 2 here, but it requires intricate instructions: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=433625#p433625
Also I have read that some bluetooth dongles are absolute crap.

So how do you install openaps-js? Can anyone help me do it? I finally got Medtronic supplies!
Do you just copy it to its own directory on the pi and execute the bash shell scripts?
