In so much pain. Went out to dinner and it was my first meal for me to eat today. Now my gut hurts so badly that I forced myself to puke and I am still in pain like 8/10.

FML. I took some pain medication and it is starting to kick in. The pain is extreme but hopefully it will become tolerable.

Can somebody give me a clue as how to install openaps-js @bewest @amazaheri perhaps?

Something like sudo npm install -g openaps/openaps-js
to get npm do something like curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup | sudo bash - && sudo apt-get install nodejs build-essential

Then will it just run on its own?
Awesome!
Internet got better...somehow.
But what do you do with the bash shell scripts? Do I have to configure my instance of openaps.ini a certain way?
Scott Leibrand

You'll need to run loop.sh to do all the rest. And yes, you'll need to figure out how to make all of those openaps aliases it references to do the right thing.
arriving shortly, so I'll be offline again.

The Internet is going ridiculously slow at my house
So I need to run the bash shell script and link it to the proper *.ini directory

AT&T UVerse is down at my house, even on the TVs 😲

It assumes you'll run it from a directory called ~/openaps-dev, containing the openaps.ini with all the openaps stuff it references properly defined.
your cell coverage is still better than mine. :-) (t-mobile international 3G)

The Internet keeps in resetting itself along with the TVs. I just called UVerse and the connection just failed again so I'm going to call them again
So I need to create like properly named history files with respect to JSON
I guess the first step is to take a good look at loop.sh

what are you trying to do?

Aug 05 2015 21:59
Trying to install OpenAPS-js but busy and on the phone with AT&T right now cause Internet is down at my house (don't watch TV). Some of the tests they performed before talking to me failed

what drives openaps is the openaps.ini file itself
openaps-js provides some additional scripts that can be useful

Aug 05 2015 22:01
Yeah I know...but on the phone right this second
I don't even have the OS installed on RPi right now. I just need to know where to start. So it's loading the openaps-js, and linking the openaps stuff to the bash shell script
Ben West
@bewest
Aug 05 2015 22:04
would do git clone ..openaps-js in ~src/ to create ~/src/openaps-js
then in the openaps-jsdirectory do sudo npm install -g to install the tools
that's it's for installation, then it's all openaps config stuff

Got it! Thanks!
Still on the phone with uverse
OMG they are incompetent
There are like 5 holes on a four sided backup power supply for the media connection and they tell me "the left hand side of the box"
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
Aug 05 2015 22:11
I mean there is no left hand side of the box unless they orient it
A certain way

Going to try to install it tonight. Feeling less crappy today.

Aug 05 2015 22:22
I recommend looking at the openaps vendor and device commands
the installation is easy, it's just git clone and npm install

@diabeticgonewild
Aug 05 2015 22:23
Yeah do I need to make a JSON like IOB.json or something?
Ben West
@bewest
Aug 05 2015 22:23
no
diabeticgonewild
@diabeticgonewild
Aug 05 2015 22:24
I guess I need to look at loop.sh and find out more
Ben West
@bewest
Aug 05 2015 22:24
you need to use openaps vendor and openaps device
then you can use openaps use to try it out manually

Aug 05 2015 22:24
N00b ? But how do you execute a bash shell script
Got it
I'm about to get to work on it as my internet is back up...
As in get on my computer...
Paul Andrel
@stavlor
Aug 05 2015 22:27
chmod a+x bashscript;./bashscript
Ben West
@bewest
Aug 05 2015 22:27
you usually don't execute cron jobs directly
ignore loop.sh, focus on git clone, npm install, and start looking at openaps device add and openaps vendor add

I will be feeling crappy tomorrow so I better try to get this done. I receive intravenous immunoglobulin tommorow which will make me not feel well for awhile.
