Hey all, been lurking for a few days and just wanted to give an enormous thank you for all the amazing work you've been doing on NightScout
I met up with @bewest a couple days ago and he graciously got me hooked up with a RileyLink (I use Medtronic CGM). Thanks to all the work y'all have done on the code side of NightScout, once I got uploading working, it took me less than an hour to write a PyObjC script to put my CGM values and IOB in the OS X menu bar: http://i.imgur.com/pnM9qHI.png

yeah, the iob has been especially helpful (vs. the pebble watchface which doesn't read from it... yet)

haven't used it yet but https://pythonhosted.org/py2app/ seems like it will make packaging this for others pretty easy, too

definitely want glucose + iob on my watch
some people in xdrip were are interested in basal/bolus control from watch face as well
hard to do... iob started reporting in x23...
same version basal/bolus got axed

could use decocare style communications to periodically get recent pump history and infer from that?

Yep. That's how we calculate iob in openaps. See iob.js in openaps-js.

iob.js is Jarvis :)

You can get IOB on the cgm in the cloud pebble watch face. put "IOB:" in the t1 name box in the settings

think @bewest wants it directly from the pump, not an extra calculation

that would be nice! The pebble is magic but not quite that magic. Yet.

@audiefile yeah, I think the pebble IOB function relies on the same iob.js code (in Nightscout, where I originally ported it)

I'd like to use offline mode in determine-basal. I can get just the command and as a use with offline but it won't generate a report. I keep getting an attribute error. Is there something I'm missing?

@audiefile whoa, thanks for the tip, that's awesome! looks like it's "IOB", not "IOB:". i had to include "iob" in the ENABLE env var too. to get the pebble to show iob numbers from the sgv entries created from my pump readings and not those calculated based on 'treatments', i also had to modify lib/pebble.js to not calculate iob if it's already present in the most recent sgv entry
PR coming soon, after i rebase and add tests. i'd been running master, but turns out lib/pebble.js has had a lot of changes between master and dev.

Sorry about the syntax! I haven't used it in a long time. Glad you got it to work for you @mddub !
