what does fail do?
Ben West
@bewest
Oct 15 2015 00:11
it exits with non zero exit code
and prints the remainder of arguments as a message
$ mm-stick fail test failure
/usr/local/bin/mm-stick FAIL
fail test failure
bewest@hither:~/Documents/foo$ echo $?
1
bewest@hither:~/Documents/foo$
I'm using this for now do-everything = ! bash -c "openaps preflight && openaps gather-and-predict && openaps check-recommendation-and-enact"
preflight uses the fail tool to make the command slightly prettier

@oskarpearson The USB pullup is on a different pin as well (see the #if BOARD logic in the usb_defs.h file in my git repo), so not surprising that it failed to enumerate as a USB device after flashing.
I don't think any firmware for the TI dongle will work as-is on the SRF Stick; it would all have to be (slightly) edited and recompiled first.

@bewest around?
if so, any reason not to delete wip/extra-ini after merging it into dev?
Ben West
@bewest
Oct 15 2015 06:05
delete
in general, if we can delete a branch after merging, go ahead and delete
Ben West
@bewest

lots of potential wip/*
lots of churn there
ideally, discuss/curate into dev
prep release, master
rinse, repeat :-D
each of those is a "quality control" gate, we get to document as part of our rigorous peer review process

Sorry for the newbie git question - after I have cloned a repo locally, if the remote repo changes, do I need to manually pull down the changes or is there some sort of automatic sync that occurs?

git pull to bring in changes

Hey all, for anyone interested in my Android Build I have a page providing a little summary in screen-shoots if helpful: https://sites.google.com/a/n-omer.co.uk/hackabetes/home/happ-overview
If anyone has any suggestions on what info they would like know regarding the app I am happy to write it up

@bewest I think you mentioned somewhere in the documentation for decode-carelink that one could 'talk' to any device with a serial/usb port. What about the meter/remote control for the new Accu-chek Insight? It can be connected to a pc via microusb-cable. Would that make the pump usable for openAPS?
Ben West
@bewest
Oct 15 2015 21:58
if we can learn the protocol and write a driver, yes
Frank Best
@efbest
Oct 15 2015 21:58
what would you need?
Ben West
@bewest
Oct 15 2015 21:58
the accu-check uses it's own protocol
so decocare is for medtronic only
Frank Best
@efbest
Oct 15 2015 21:58
ok
Ben West
@bewest
Oct 15 2015 21:58
so we'd need a decoding-accucheck

did you call the vendor to ask?
Frank Best
@efbest
Oct 15 2015 21:59
not yet
what am I going to ask for, precisely?
Ben West
@bewest
Oct 15 2015 22:01
I usually ask for documentation on the protocol
they usually try to redirect to their windows software
and it usually takes some explaining to help them understand I want the documentation needed to emulate that software

@bewest Hi, @amazaheri helped me resolve my problem iob calculation issue. All resolved. I'm now golden. @amazaheri suggested I reach out to you for next step in testing. Plan is to set up a chron job to run my loop (not connected) and have the basal suggestion dump into github so that I can compare the next morning to ensure that suggestions are not out of norm. Are you able to assist me with that :)

curious, any experience with Apidra in pump? Does it require set change more often? did you experience "better" DIA?

@LorelaiL I used Apidra in pump with openAPS. My DIA=3.
