I think I am going to work on #VirtualPancreas tonight, since I am feeling better...but found a new outlet in my life, a competitive sport I can actually do...sled hockey! But need to get this thing as close to finished as I can, as school starts up in January!

BTW, don't bother with rechargable batteries...I got the best type you can get and they didn't work well enough for use. Stick with Energizer Ultimates, if you can...

Okay from reading above, in order to post treatments to Nightscout, it looks like I need to be on the dev branch of oref0, correct? If so, then maybe I should just wait until it gets pushed out unless there is an easy way to switch back and forth between the master and dev branch. Been struggling with that for a couple of days now so that may be partly to explain.

no reason not to be on dev for everything
just git checkout dev inside the ~/src/oref0 directory

@scottleibrand Thank you Scott - for those following. In order to do this you have to install openaps with this command curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/openaps/docs/master/scripts/quick-src.sh | bash - If you install with the package manager (the first option in the setup instructions), there is no src folder and you will be left scratching you head wondering where you went wrong.

Also in your command to create the alias upload-recent-treatments you have "ns-upload $NIGHTSCOUT_HOST $API_SECRET" Do I leave in the $ sign? So should it read "ns-upload $https://myns.azurewebsites.net/api/v1/treaments $abc123abc"

That's an environment cariable
Variable
Also, we should not ncourage dev installs
Need to cut release, do the leg work and testing to keep master up to date
Scott Leibrand

Nov 13 2015 01:22
yeah, those should be left as is. you'll want to define NIGHTSCOUT_HOST=myns.azurewebsites.net in crontab, and API_SECRET=abc123abc
ok, we could cut a release. anything that still needs done first you think?

which almost works
but apparently my computer wants IPV6, and iphone won't finish the routine somehow
ok, so I have a few hours now :-D
was tempted to try the finish rileylink
I think for oref0, there are few filenames which are inconsistent

The work I have left on the first part of #VirtualPancreas is easier than I thought. May be done by the end of this weekend, if not by Wednesday, if all goes well. But sled hockey (called sledge hockey everywhere except the USA) is making me feel better...crazy. I have practice on Saturday morning and that may tire me out. If you don't know what sled/sledge hockey is there is a great YouTube video on it: http://youtu.be/9gsy9Som_xs . I can't play regular hockey due to neuropathy in my legs and autonomic neuropathy, and both have nothing to do with my diabetes, except the autonomic neuropathy may have led to the autoimmunity leading to my t1d. Have a couple of rare autoimmune neuropathies...

Hmm - okay I have my env variables set up correctly but am getting the same error as @tghoward above json: error: input is not JSON: Unexpected '<' at line 1, column 1:

my guess now is that my nightscout implementation is not on the cutting edge enough. I am on 0.8.2 but looks like others are on dev versions so I might be missing functionality like I was on the openaps side previously. Has anyone gotten it to work on the base 0.8.2 version of nightscout?

Thank you Ben. I didn't mean to start a firedrill to get the latest version of oref0 pushed out but I appreciate it.

I think my issue is on the nightscout side now.

Do we need any more testing before merge?
Ben West
@bewest
Nov 13 2015 06:58
I've been using most of it in production
in my production
and now others are as well
so we've been diversifying a bit during last few weeks
doing release is a way to unify again
then we diversify more :-)
so now with several people depending on several versions of dev
and more wanting those features
"ding"
need to unify, get everyone on same page again
that'll make docs easier
next round of docs

looking good so far
oh... for openaps have you been testing wip/pass-stdin?
I still had a few git corruption issues, but much much fewer, it seems like

I think I confirmed that to use the new features like -nightscout latest-openaps-treatment $NIGHTSCOUT_HOST that you new a newer version than 0.8.2. That command throws an error on my site which is 0.8.2 but seems to work fine on the recent dev branch. Need to figure out how to upgrade my nightscout site to the dev branch I guess
